...doc, i knew...? What does the auto repairman mean when he says, "Because you're so goddamned educated, doc, i knew you couldn't be very smart"?

I am to answer this one question but almost have no clue what the ghetto repair man is trying to sense in D= Assist anyone? Any help is appreciated !
