expiriences with it? It could be while you had to move to a a foreign country because the company send you there, or because you husband was send there and you went with him.

How do you think is the idea of TRUST in such a situation? When you are affected by such a culture shock and are not able to built trust to other do to that??

In which countries would you say that the probability to go through such a culture shock is the greatest for an american and why??

** You don't have to answer to all my questions, but I would really like to learn more about the poeples experiences, and even if don't have an answer to all the positions, everything you can say would help :)

i think about either history or economics...i learned about that in one of those classes. i couldn't tell you right now what it means exactly..i've been out of school for 3 years lol. =)

I experienced this when I lived in Denmark many years ago. It was a wonderful place, and I loved my time there, but after a while, all the differences just get to be overload.

I would think an American moving to someplace like China or Japan or India or Saudi Arabia would experience this much more than average because everything is SOOOOO different there than here--the people look different, the food is vastly different, the language, the customs, everything!

That isn't to say living abroad isn't a great thing, because I think it's a tremendous thing to do, but there is an adjustment period,
