What do you think of the Kawasaki 250 Ninja?

I was thinking of getting one as my first bike. I hear it's a great beginners bike. I know it's not all about speed, but I can't help but think I might get bored with the 250 rather quick, especially since I own a car that can accelerate faster than it.

What has been your experience, or opinion about this bike? It's the older 250 btw, not the new one that came out in 2008.
 
I think the 250 is ideal as a communter bike. From home to school or to work and back. If you are a sport bike enthusiast, the 250 isn't for you.

Yeah it is safer to learn on but then again not really. It does go 100MPH so that's plenty enough to get dead.

I personally don't like the bike. It doesn't deserve all the hype it's getting

There are other bikes out there suitable for beginners.

what car do you have that will out-accel a ninja 250?

it's a GREAT learners bike, and you can sell it for pretty much what you bought it for...as long as you don't thrash it too bad..
 
i think the ninja is garbage, i dont like it at all it feels like a moped. i was thinking about getting it as my first bike, but then decided not to cause it had a ticking noise i didnt like, so i ended up getting a honda cbr 600 f3 and boy am i happy, i love that bike, its lightweight yet is fast as heII
