Celtics offered

Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen
For
Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Rodney Stuckey

I like it for Detroit cause it gives them a great PG that is coming into his own and when Ray Allen's contract expires, it would give them even more salary cap space. Hamilton and Prince are gettin up there in age and still have pretty big contracts and we know Detroit is trying to rebuild and everything so this is good for them. As for the Celtics, the only reason I here as to why they want to trade Rondo, is because a chemistry factor that he doesnt share with the rest of the team. Doc Rivers once said to Rondo which is published, your team plays down when your playing with them, it should be the opposite.

Great deal for the Celtics. Allen is getting old and they get a great perimeter shooter in Hamilton, great defender in Prince, and a good young player in Stuckey.

Every trade in sports takes place because all teams involved believe that the trade will benefit them - if not immediately, then down the road. Nobody is holding a gun to the GMs heads.

Im not sure its a great trade, i mean the pistons giving up three of their best players, although they do get allen and rondo. But allen is becoming a veteran. so i dont think i would be a great trade

Great for Detroit, they need to rebulid quick befor it gets worse. And they will have a go to guy again with ray allen.

dude, the pistons rejected it which they should have, i mean you got ray allen who is good but old as balls then you have an overrated wannabe thug in rondo....yea celtics would get the better deal.....danny ainge has got some nerve....i think that heart attack affected his brain

I like the trade for the Pistons and the Celtics. The Celtics would have a good shooting guard in Richard Hamilton.. Ray Allen though on the Pistons gives them a deadly three point shooter and his contract is almost up. Gives the Piston's a ton of cap space. The point guards would be a fair trade as well. Rodney Stuckey is young and developing into a great point guard. He likes to drive to the basket like Rajon Rondo, so fair trade. The only concern is the celtics would have two small forwards that should be starters. That means they either have to deal away with Paul Pierce or Tayshaun Prince, which "hint" could get the Celtics a much needed big man.

I think the celtics will be making a big mistake, Rondo is the guy who keeps them going and I still think they are the best team in the league so why should any changes be made. Yes the guys they would be getting are great players but losing Rondo can hurt the celtics big time, Allen can be replaceable with Hamilton but i do not know how much success the celtics will have without their rising star point guard.

I am going to say what everyone else will probably say.

these trade speculations about allen and rondo are ridiculous.
the celtics chemistry is perfect when healthy and they have a really well balanced team. They decided to go over the salary cap when they made their move for allen, garnett and posy. They are just in the right position to make things work financially and winning wise and trading two of their five really key players to the way the team plays, especially for limited and aging players like hamilton, prince, and an underperforming stucky is ridiculous.

The team has three younger players getting into the middle of their careers that are developing nicely, rondo, who had a spectacular playoff showing, glen davis, who is second year but did 17ppg and 6 rpg in the playoffs filling in admirably for kevin garnett, and kendrick perkins, who supplied and omeka okafor like 12 and 12 throughout the playoffs as well as an underrated defensive presence.

These players are really teh teams future and trading rondo would really hurt the current teams chemistry as he often has the ball in his hands and is making decisions as well as the teams future as at least decent.

Ray allen is expensive but he played very well and consistently last season and is only signed up for one more year. That means that next offseason they can extend rondo for bigger money, and hopefully ray either agrees to a smaller package, which i believe he will at this point in his career, or he leaves, and rondo has matured enough to fill his role on the offensvie end.

These trade rumors and speculation really make no sense, the celtics have constantly made it clear that 1. they are willing to pay over the salary cap, 2. that rondo is always off limits in trades and is the future of the team, and 3. that winning is more important the quality financial position.

i really wish these rumors would stop, no truth to em,
hope i helped,

note: if this trade or any other involving rondo or allen happened i would be very surprised, id eat my hat.

rondo's so called character problems have been blown out of proportion, he is merely stubborn, and no way a couple of former pistons juggernauts fit into the system,.

their defense would be useful but offensively you have to run plays for rip off screens and prince and stuckey are unreliable shooters oftentimes, alot of risk to take to alleviate minor financiel pressure slightly, by looking at the size of the pistons overblown contracts.

I would like to say that the chemistry issue is again heavily overblown as rondo does play very well with the team. He just also becomes easily frustrated.

The trade is very good for a pistons team looking for youth and cap space to sign big names, but despite the improvement defensively in personell, i think it would really hurt the celtics chemistry and jeopardize their chances in the short term, as wel as mortgage their future by getting rid of the really talented rondo.

interesting trade, good for detroit especially, but as i stated, very unlikely
