What cultures, and at what times were their references to a "golden age"

through different spiritual teachings? I know of Christianity, Budhism, Hinduism, Mayans (the calendar shows when this will be . . .in just about few years : ) . . . .sumer? What culture was it that spoke in Sanskrit? (sumerian?)
