What Concerts Are You Going To In The Next Few Months

Saddle Creek isn't doing much right now (well, at least not with the good banRAB) except a bunch of shows at pubs and bars, which under a new law only people 17 and older can go in unless you go through this long application process (counts for one night, at one bar or pub, and you have to leave immediately after the show)

it was actually easier for ally (she's 15) to book herself at a pub than for her fans to get inside, which is why the new law sucks.

the money coming into Omaha by entertainment actually lowered by about 8% after the law was passed.

so, yeah. I'm pissed, but so is every other teen in eastern Nebraska.

Sweet, I love the IRS. I got tickets to go see Echo & the Bunnymen next week at Black Cat. But, apparently a band has to pay a tax if they leave the country, play shows, and come back in less than 30 days. So they're cancelling the tour. Yet another fantastic thing about the US.

Thanks, *******s.

I'm not going to A7x and Coheed and Carabria anymore because it's my prom night...grr.

But I added Panic! at the Disco with Dresden Dolls on my list.

I just saw Band Of Skulls and The Temper Trap.

Going to see Bear In Heaven on Friday.
Then, Rooney + Black Gold the week after that.

For sure, that is if you can still get tix. I just looked it up and people were saying it's already sold out. :(

They are playing at the Metro Theater in Sydney. I don't know if you've ever been there but it's kinda a crap venue... You take what you can I guess, I think they would've been better at The Enmore myself.

LeeRAB fest lineup has been released.

Looks good.

Saw Pinback on Saturday.

They were great. Exactly what I expected. But the real treat was in the opening act. I half assumed, that since there was no artist listed or even mentioned, Pinback would be the only act. Instead, an instrumental duo who I'd never heard of opened and they were fantastic. They really reminded me of Built to Spill, minus the vocals, but it was impressive because the guitarist strolled onstage with a double-necked Guitar/Bass Guitar corabo, and proceeded to electronically loop basslines and guitar lines over each other via some footpedal device.

SounRAB like a plan. Given the attention they receive on here, I think I'd happily go without having heard them before anyway.

Yeah this is an unusually good summer for NZ musically... normally next to no-one bothers coming here.

Wow, Roky Erickson? Geez, I didn't even realize he was still doing stuff, but looking him up shows an extensive solo catalogue. My knowledge of him only extenRAB as far as The 13th Floor Elevators.

Klaxons last night in Williamsburg. Next up James on Tuesday at Webster
Unless I go out to Hofstra Saturday for Blue Oyster Cult, Public Enemy, Fountains of Wayne, Sha Na Na and Lisa Lisa.

Just printed off ticket to see Pavement at Brixton in May, going with the same guy i went to my last gig with over a year ago (My Bloody Valentine in Manchester)... i only come out for the big guys

I'm going to see Sevendust this Sunday night...and taking Monday off of work. Between jumping around like I'm 15 again, and drinking like I'm 21 again, I'll be in poor shape come Monday.
