What Concerts Are You Going To In The Next Few Months

Yeah when you go to a show alone you can focus 100% on the music, rather than worrying if the person that' with you is enjoying it, wondering how they're hearing songs versus how you're hearing them, having to say "WHAT?!" a few times when they try to tell you something, etc.

I've never gone to a movie alone though. But I would...if movies didn't cost so damn much these days. Netflix for me thank you very much.

Go.

Comfort wise it's not ideal but National Express are doing the extremely cheap fares at the minute. It'll probably take you a while to get down from Sunderland but if you want to go THAT much..

Actually, just checked and it takes roughly 15 hours all round. 7 hours 40 there (

I'm probably off to see Beres Hammond, Gregory Isaacs and the Heptones at the Manchester Apollo on May 1st. Should be pretty immense.

Kings of leon tomorrow in St. Louis (my girlfriend wants to go - trust me, I'm trying to get out of it.) Old 97's, Robert Randolph, the Black Crowes, and Driving Wheel are all on the horizon.

READING FESTIVAL.
but basically i'm most looking forward to seeing the shins, arcade fire, biffy clyro, long blondes, !!! and a few more.
i'm so gutted that belle & sebastian aren't playing though :(

Mighty Mighty Bosstones with Teenage Bottlerocket and The Flatliners at Town Ballroom, Buffalo on the 26th. I'm pumped, TBR is one of my favorite punk banRAB, and I quite enjoy The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. This also gives me an excuse to check out The Flatliners, because I haven't listened to them before.

Oooh, Alexisonfire. I've been them live a couple of times in the past at festivals and such and they have always put on a good show.

When I was about 15-16 and starting to attend gigs more often, I was terrified of being in the 'pit' or general admission area for that very reason. But you'll be fine - I've never had any issues and I'm a tiny 5'2" chick! If it gets to intense I always just fall further back where moshing isn't as insane. That being said, I find people in my city are very friendly and responsible when it comes to moshing and crowRAB at concerts - people generally look out for each other.

Moshing is nucking futs.

Anyway, I just got back from 30 SeconRAB to Mars (aka the Jared Leto show) and Mute Math. 30 SeconRAB was surprisingly good, as Jared got really intimate with the crowd and even invited about 50 people up on stage for the finale to sing "Kings and Queens" with him. Mute Math, however, really deserved their 20 minutes of fame for an excellent performance.

Nah, I'd ****ing love to go. But I've never been to that sort of festival. So I'm breaking myself in with T in the Park next year, then perhaps Glasto the following year, if I can be arsed lugging all that stuff back home :|

sidewinder, I love you for posting that you're seeing pinback. I ticketmastered them to find out they're playing in LA in July. So I immediately bought a ticket.

YES

and then I'm seeing Muse + Passion Pit in Septeraber

**** YES

I JUST FOUND OUT MUSE ARE COMING TO MELBOURNE IN DECErabER.

This excited me so much that I felt the need to use capslock. There is only one show (which is ridiculous) so it's going to be bloody hard trying to get tickets but I'll try anyway. The only problem is that I can't find out ANYWHERE how much the tickets are... I want to know before they come on sale!

EDIT: Just found out tickets are $120. Fuck.
