What can we as a culture do to move beyond the bonds of racism?

We have to WANT to, in the first place.
Many (not all) people who are at the privileged end of racism, don't want to. Some admit it and some don't.

But obviously ones that suffer are the ones that are more keen to end it.

But sadly, this thing is so deeply ingrained in the minds, that I experienced some instances of racism at the hands of blacks in Africa !!
It was very painful seeing their slave-mentality still strong.
Its going to take a lot of education (not necessarily formal) and time to change it.
 
were all one race, that's the human race. we have geographic ancestry that creates different cultures, these cultures are different yes but at the end of the day we all have the same basic needs right? how can we start to being better? when will we all be just humans instead of black, asian, white, latino ext?
i believe that it goes both ways as well. the white culture is stompted on quite often.
