What can i do here?????

I just got 2 12" kicker cvx that recommend a 1.75-2.25cu.ft (ported) box but the box that i have is only 1.5cu.ft per chamber. Is there anything i can do to make this box work for these subs. I haven't put the subs in because i dont want to damage then. I've been told to add polyfill, but then i also been told that polyfill serves no purpose in ported enclosures. Thanks for the help!!!!!
 
i have the drawn up design for a ported box for 2 12" kicker cvx subwoofers, it is 4.28cu ft. total which leaves 2.14cu ft per chamber tuned to i THINK 38hz, i dont remember but these dimensions and specs came straight from kicker so i have the dimensions for the box, but you have to build it

(i used the specs kicker gave me and created my own design)
