What brand of subwoofers should I get?

Does brand even matter? Don't you just look at the stats. For example, RMS, peak power, etc.?
 
yeah i work at a car audio place and brand doesnt matter just check what it pushes out and youll be fine.
 
For the most part you really need to know RMS, max excursion (millimeters), frequency range (hertz), and sensitivity (decibels). a lot of people will try to tell you that one brand is the best or another one is the worst but really as long as you stick to well know brands you shouldn't have to worry about getting a quality rip-off. always Research products before you buy them. search multiple sights to get them best deal.
 
A good quality subwoofer, with a price that is reasonable would have to be JL audio. I have owned a couple different speakers, and heard many other sets, and JL are pretty impressive.
 
Brand does matter, in terms of quality and sound reproduction... clarity and just the overall quality of sound.... if you want superb quality and a subwoofer you can rely on that SLAPS
go with alpine anything type R and above will do you in :-)
 
my brother had two 12 inch subwoofers in his suv and they were pioneer they sounded nice and in my mustang i installed all pioneer speakers and they sound real good and loud you can get them at walmart and brand pretty much matters
