What are the differences between the Kawasaki Ninjas?

I'm looking for the differences between the models so that I can choose the best one for me. I'm looking for the smallest (and fastest, lol) one. Thanks.

Kawasaki has a habit of slapping "Ninja" on anything remotely close to being a sportbike.

Ninja used to be (many moons ago) reserved only for their top of the line inline-four race replicas. Now the name adorns everything from the Ninja 250 up to the mighty ZX-14. There are currently 6 ninjas in the US Kawasaki stables.

So when you say you want the smallest (Ninja 250) and the fastest (zx10 Ninja or ZX-14) those might not be the same bike :)

Whatever you get, take a MSF riders course, spend money on the correct protective gear (proper fitting helmet, jacket, gloves and boots) and have fun!!

There is a Ninja 250, 500, 600, 750, 1000 etc.. The higher the number the more powerful the motor. Do not get anything less than the 500 and even that is pretty weak on power.

The Ninja 250 is a glorified scooter with a fairing on it. The ninja 500 is a bit better but as you look at their tires they are very skinny and not good for freeway riding. See video of bike below
