What are the chances that my 2000 Ford Focus has an interference engine?

I bought the car a year ago and it has 155k miles. My car is in the shop getting a new timing belt and they said when they get it on that my engine may be done for if it's an interference engine. On a 2000 SE, do you think it'd have one? This is the first problem I've had with the car other than maintenance.

If it does, should I go ahead and replace the engine or not? I can get a salvaged engine from junk yard for $300-400 with under 50k miles. (I checked a year ago in case something like this would happen)

It is but engine is by no means done for, an inspection after removal of the cyl head will probably reveal afew bent valves, as long as the valve guides havent broken. Basically youre head needs repaired although having said that the mileage of the engine might warrant a fresh engine at this stage.

If I'm reading this right, it's not..
