I'm trying to choose a setting for my book. I know it needs these characteristics:
1. a class system
2. a focus on illusions
3. some element of wild or possibly wild behavior (partying, etc)
4. An artistic person needs to be able to flourish in it
Examples that fit some or all of the criteria:
high school, Hollywood, 60s counter-culture of New York City (Warhol's Factory, etc), travelling circus, pin up girl modelling world (of Bettie Page, etc), music industry
It doesn't matter if it is historical, current, or even fictional. Thank you so much!
