What anime's are definite sub-only?

The sub/dub question has been bugging the crap out of me for a while now. I have already decided that I will only hunt after subs for "Sailor Moon" and "Evangelion"... I'm wondering if there are any others I should know about. For the record, I usually prefer to watch the dub, but I don't hesistate to look for a sub if the show just got completely hacked up in it's english release. My low-water mark right now (the worst a dub can get before I can't stand it) would be 4KiRAB Yu-Gi-Oh dub. Thank you.

Digimon Adventure 02 is a good example of a hackdub that's now available subbed and uncut in its entirety for free online.

Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal is another good example, but for different reasons. The dub is mediocre, especially compared to the Rurouni Kenshin dub, and it's my #3 favorite anime of all time, so a not-that-great dub shouldn't ruin such a great anime. Plus, unlike most anime, there are no Western influences.

Hey, it wasn't that bad (Okay I'm lying it tottaly was) but the sub is much better

Same for Fist of the North Star which is also on CR. Seriously, just find any clip of the dub anywhere and your ears may start bleeding

It's been a while, but I''m pretty sure I could stomach that one... and it's nil anyway, because I can't watch videos online at this point in time. I... have dial-up.

Fist of the North Satr, huh... "scribbles on piece of paper".

Yeah...

Oh yeah, Fist of the North Star is definitely another good example.

I weep for you.

Well, you'll have to be able to watch videos online if you want to see Fist of the North Star (unless you plan on buying it for the sub).

I was liking Godannar's dub for a while until...The accents.....

(I like a lot of mecha anime that ADV did but for some reason their dubs for them either stink or they just sound bland. Another good example would be Gravion.)

Cardcaptor Sakura... NO EXCEPTIONS. You may argue that the Geneon dub for the second movie was not too bad, but since we're talking about the series and the lack of any decent replacement or anything... NO EXCEPTIONS.

Also shoe in Saber Marionette J to X (Blue Water at its worst), Love Hina (even though I'd recommend NOT watching it... AT ALL), Utena (Oh God why!?) and the Escaflowne TV series, if not for Andrew Francis's run as Dilandau (why he didn't redub his lines after his terrific movie performance I don't know) but also for some rather LOUSY dialogue translations. Example:

Van: Give me back my Escaflowne... And give me back my guymelef!

They do, they just don't have the original openings and endings (but instead the awful dub opening), and they sadly don't have sub only DVD's, I wish they did though, well thankfully Discotek is doing us the favor of licensing and releasing the Fist of the North Star movie on DVD

Yes!! Someone else who knows about and seen Saber Marionette besides me (and don't get me started on Blue Water Studios dubs), and yeah I pretty much second everything you just said, I still have nightmares over Utena and a few others English dubs (including the English dubs of MAZE, Patlabor, and Ranma 1/2 *shivers*), and yeah I agree on Dilandau's voice in Escaflowne's dub, in which I prefer Minami Takayama's performance over her dub counterpart Andrew Francis (although he was a kid at the time he played Dilandau in the TV series thankfully he went through puberty before the movie was dubbed), and I agree there were some lousy translations in the dub

And I guess I'm the only one who likes Godannar and Gravion's English dubs, just as much as the subs

Full Moon wo Sagashite: Don't bother watching the dub. They story has a lot of songs, but the Japanese is kept. So you get a weird switch over. I do recommend watching it, even though Viz gave up half way through.

Castle in the Sky: You have to go sub if you want to be accurate. Sheeta and Pazu are supposed to be around pre-teen, not the almost grown age that Disney gives them. Sure, Mark Hamil redeems the dub but it's still not the same effect.

Hey, cool! Someone else who's actually seen the dub. How have your ears been? They stopped bleeding yet from listening to Ueki's "not even trying" voice actor?
