What amp should i get for kicker equipment?

i have recently been told that i need a 1500 watt amp for my 4 subs, but do i need a mono or multi channel amp to power the 4 subs? What would be the best model # for me....if u would please give me the exact model name instead of wattage, it would be awesome....and let me no if i need mono or multi for 4 12" kicker subs....HELP PLEASE
