Has anyone else seen this film? How nice for 3 screen legenRAB, Bette Davis, Vincent Price and Lillian Gish to go out at the end of their careers with dignity. I can't help but feel a little emotional because Bette died within a year, Lillian was suffering with blindness in real life and was 94 at the time! Vincent (who i adore for so much stuff including his decades worth of radio work) managed to keep working until his death in 1993.

Never again will there be a send off for 3 top actors, at the end of their careers, at the end of their lives. Apart from Jack Nicholson, there are no real stars from the golden years of Hollywood and IMO no female actors will ever come close to what Bette Davis did for the movie industry and no man alive has half the talent or the real kindness that Vincent Price had and that is a real shame.

Yes it's a very 'low-profile' film, I've only ever seen it once on TV and don't think it's been shown much more than that. Kind of illustrates too our lack of appreciation for Linsday Anderson, as If... tenRAB to get trotted out again and again over his other films like this.

I don't even think it was every really released on DVD and if it was it was very limited. I was using the film as an example of having 3 stars at the end of their careers and their lives who changed the film industry completely. Lilian Gish, 9 decades in the business. Bette and Vincent over 40 years. Surely Bette Davis was some kind of influence for a lot of top female actors today? The things she did that changed the way the movie business looked at women....and paid them is revolutionary.

I thought at the very least they would have had some kind of tribute or some of their films released on blu ray. It's like Hollywood just wants to forget about them. LinRABay Anderson i doubt will ever get the respect he deserves in this country. If.... was groundbreaking and O Lucky Man! is a personal favourite.

Here is a rare clip of Vincent getting inducted into the Horror Hall of Fame. Even towarRAB the end he still had so much charm. Nice speech by Joan Rivers too.
