After over a year of pain I finally visited an Ortho Surgeon, had an MRI and got my diagnosis. I have a single hard bone instead of a regular segmented tailbone. There are NO SEGMENTS and no bendabilty. Over the last 5 years I have lost 90+ lbs and at first believed that why my tailbone hurt (I have had back pain for years)..... but not true. Has anyone ever had this? Or heard of anyone who has had this? I was told that I had 2 options - pain management for the rest of my life or surgery to remove it. I have read good comments for and against both- but I would love to hear if anyone has heard of this? I am seeing a Chiropractor on Friday and have 3 weeks before my surgery. Any help would be appreciated. I literally cannot handle this anymore! Thanks.
