No, your thought process was seriously flawed in that post. What does bringing up other countries have to do with the topic?

i am better than societal norms.

there, now that i've said it, what's your next plan of action?

You say you mistrust the data because it's become political. How else are you suppose to address the issue? All I hear from conservatives is "global warming is a scam to give government more power". Well, assuming global warming is very real, what is the conservative solution? Ignore it, deny it? Let the free market deal with it?

Saying a problem doesn't exist is not a solution to anything.

So what I've gathered from this thread is global warming is a Jewish tipping conspiracy orchestrated by new penny pinching convert CodeX.

What should be done isn't political. Presentation of accurate information to the public should be the goal of all science. They don't ban smoking because it causes cancer....but people now recognize some of the dangers. Same with global warming. They shouldn't cap carbon emissions as it won't do anything....and would just hurt business.

Instead consumers should be weary of the products they buy and support clean tech. Some assholes won't....just because...but businesses will turn to clean teach.

The only thing the government should do is provide funding for clean fuel tech such as wind/nuke/solar. Try to remove some of the dependence on coal burning or at least reduce the cost-efficiency of coal to provide alternative options.

Not bad, from what I remember.

But really, independent of the price of the meal I generally tip about 15 bucks, less if the service is poor or the server pisses me off somehow, more if the service is above average or the server entertains some special request of mine or my company, like if we ask to change tables after being seated, or if we ask for something that is not on the menu and they make it for us.

Which topic? Meteorologists who weigh in on long term climate issues as if they hope people are ignorant enough not to realize the two fields are very different or people who think a $40 steak takes more effort, and thus deserves a greater reward, to deliver to a table than a $5 appetizer?

It's called social etiquette. Get some.

Do you go to weddings in Levi's and tee-shirt?

No, rely on intelligent consumers to force innovation and sway corporate giants. The little we can do now is work on public utilities and try to create a cheaper fuel source than gas/coal. By cheapening electric you could potentially do this.

Carbon credits in the U.S. would do nothing to global greenhouse gas emissions.

all of you are closed-minded and none of you will listen to the other argument so why even bother?

etiquette? aren't you the one who works in customer service thinks its funny as fuck to spit and blow your nose into people's food?
