We Know The Beatles are Sh*t, So Tell Us Some Other Bands That Suck!

I usually try to avoid posting posts that are purely negative and unconstructive.

...But I'm bored soooooo...

Neutral Milk Hotel
Joy Division
Aiden
Shinedown
GoRABmack
Five Finger Death Punch
Obituary

Sorry if I offended.

What are you talking about??...Freedom of speech is alive and well, thats why this country is going to hell.

We all have a right to express our opinions, even our opinions about other peoples opinions, its called disagreeing.

By the way, your opinion sucks. :finger:

I think its ridiculous that Korn are even being suggested in this thread! They`re largely responsible for creating a genre and its no fault of theirs that a multitude of crap followed. I think their first album is a metal classic and Follow the Leader a very good album also, probably the only two albums that somebody need own, as for the rest of them, they`re much of a muchness really but Jonathan Davis`s voice is always compelling to listen to.

I really don't like The Kooks... but that's probably just me being jealous of them being total chick magnets.

And I hate just about every poppunk band there is. I also think Coldplay sucks really hard, can't stand Chris Martin.

I forgot about our American cousins there, I don`t think Brit-Pop was as dominant in the USA, as it was over here despite the fact that Oasis were pretty huge in the states.

To listen to classic Aerosmith you need to listen to their 70`s output, as this group really knew how to rock out in the 70`s (Albums like Rocks and Toys in the Attic) Most of the mid 80`s output onwarRAB, is almost as bad as listening to DEF Leppard and Bon Jovi etc.

This really is quite a grudge you seem to be harboring toward Philly. I'm pretty curious about its origins. I know you mentioned something about people booing Santa or something. Are you Santa? Did those mean people hurt your feelings?

Ah, so it was a musical maturation process that lead to your aggressive fellating of a band most people discover in pre-school. Intriguing.

Was the fact that you end a lot of your posts with "duh" another part of this maturation process?

Really now. Don't let other people influence your feelings toward them. If you don't click with a group that's fine. I don't click with Radiohead very much. I just can't feel their stuff. But I can certainly see why people laud them. I've taken flack for that but I just can't let annoying fans do injustice to a group of talented musicians who don't deserve outright hatred.

I know that.

However, at the time, those terms as applied to music (in 1966, you would find "heavy metal" at a steel foundry) weren't used.

Cream was conceived and treated as a POP band because, at that time, POP was not a genre, per se, but was a term simply applied to whatever was POPular.

all except Hendrix was recording his debut in London as Fresh Cream hit the streets in late '66.

Nice try, but epic fail.

I know their background; Clapton left Mayall (whose band at the included John McVie and Mick Fleetwood); Baker and Bruce knrlew each other from their days in Graham Bond's band but didn't like each other, yadda yadda...

They were known in their natve England as The Cream.

That's what they referred to themselves as, and Jimi Hendrix called them that, too.

So I take their word over yours.

EDIT:
yeah, THAN YOU FOR PROVING MY POINT.

The Beatles influence over music, as a whole, is ever-pervasive and almost omnipotent at my point.

The reason I had the "little family tree" breakdown was to show the lineage of influence on very disparate acts.

And I'm good on my music history; I'll go toe to toe with anyone, anytime.

If you ever want to get schooled again, just holler away.

Weezer was good. Ratitude was a let down and so was their Red album. I do like some of their songs, but as a whole, their bad songs outweigh their good ones. Maybe hate is too stressed for them, because I do still have every song by them on my iPod just incase I feel like listening to them and giving it another shot.

Supertramp is just that one band that I never liked. I grew up hearing them on my local classic rock radio station and just turned the dial every time. My ears can't listen to that. Just, horrible.
I also hate the remix to "Breakfast in America".

OK, now you got me mad! Can you honestly say "The Landing Beacon", "Soothsayer", his cover of "Sketches of Spain", or "Electric Tears" suck?

Assuming we can rationally attack things with a reason, I'll say this:

All things have creative value. This doesn't mean all forms of music should be appreciated, that's a matter of opinion. However, if something has been brought into being, it has creative value.

Just because music is simple or untechnical doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. That's your taste against others'. Slipknot's guitar riRAB are simple? Okay. But that's part of the theory. They wanted to make that. So, stop griping about it.

Now, the only band I can say anything about knowledgeably is Blink182. Travis Barker isn't exactly what I'd call a drumming role model, as killing your set isn't considered good drumming in too many situations.

Insane Clown Posse is just silly.
