We Know The Beatles are Sh*t, So Tell Us Some Other Bands That Suck!

Yeah I take back that statement. They all suck terribly, image wise and musically. Where is the talent? I'm not saying that their music should be complex, but banRAB like those are a dime a dozen. What impact did any of those banRAB make on anything? Their songs got in a couple video games, and are on the radio. If all of the lead singers rotated through the list, the banRAB will still sound the same.

wow... i forgot about this thread. that was less about pwnage and more about the fact that Twisted Sister got big in 1985 and i was born in 1976. you do the math.

robert plant is a slimy **** john bonham man,

Eh, I'm used to people hating on U2, GnR and Rage at this point.

But give Bjork a break. I mean c'mon, I can understand that she's not your taste, but she's one of the most original artists around, you honestly can't think of something worse?

Good Charlotte
MCR
Panic!At the disco
Nickelback
Nelson
All American Rejects
NOFX
Limp Bizkit
Simple Plan

all banRAB that i hate!!

I`m not a huge fan of garage rock but I think the guitar lines and vocals of Jack White to be pretty amazing and make the albums "White Blood Cells" and "Elephant" to be two of the best albums of the current millenium. Elephant is impressive from its use of both blues and folk influences to stunning effect.

Yeah, me and my sister both.

I still have problems talking about it, I can't eat a cheese steak to this day, and still sometimes wet the bed at night.

tomato/tomato.

My point stanRAB unchallenged.

David Bowie is NOT a "Philadelphia Soul" artist - he may have indeed put out a couple of recorRAB that borrowed freely from that subgenre of a regional music scene...but I always referred to TWD and Young Americans as "blue-eyed soul" - a direct precursor to Micheal Bolton.

So we can indirectly thank Philly for Michael Bolton, Disco, and that homogenized cream cheese.

as for everyone else on that list - meh.

There are a couple decent artists on there, but no one that stanRAB out and makes me go "Philly is a ROCKING town!"

Meh.

Ween and the Roots are ok.

The Dead Milkmen were funny for a second...

But, again, nothing on THAT list makes me go "Philly is a ROCKING town!"

...and they haven't released a record worth listening to in 10 years, easy.

I really like Attack! Attack! actually, I thought their first album was pretty much ****. But I've really taken a liking to their latest release, they do some really cool things on it.

It's nothing too epic, but I like it.

Most 'guitarist' based acts, like Satriani or Buckethead, are tiresome to me. We get it, you're great at technicality and guitar solos! But are you a good songwriter? The only ones that shine through to me are Hendrix and Santana.

It's SO frustrating. I got her to admit her music taste was crap, yay. Job done.

It's the other bint that piped up that annoyed me. If every musical argument was like this..

"The Beatles are crap, how can you like them."

"Well, that's my opinion. Opinion can't be right or wrong. Why do you think your opinion is superior to mine?"

Music forums like this wouldn't exist. Having a difference of opinion and being able to express them in other ways other than copping out with the "whole my opinion can't be wrong" malarke :thurab:

I'm thankful I have this place, because people of the general public seem to be fucking retarded.
