way to fix the economy....lower oil prices

Some people would, but you can't deny the fact that a lot of people would "joy ride" with no destination much more often.

I personally don't worry about gas prices myself...shit I'm daily driving my '76 elite with a 351w and I get ~10mpg on a good day, but I like the car a lot. Smooth ride, quiet as a mouse. Looks good too, only 25k original miles

It's a non-renewable resource. It WILL happen, and hedging our bets on us having some of the last remaining stocks strengthens our positions (assuming alt energy isn't developed).

Who cares how many years it'll be. This country as a whole neeRAB to start thinking more long-term. The short-term minRABet is what's brought us to where we are now.

ok then when oil jumps $20/bbl the US govt gets no tax revenue cuz they pegged the price too low, then you idiots are in an even worse scenario than now

why do you want so much regulation. free markets are efficient, but they don't exist.
