Watch, Listen & Think for Yourself: The Daughter of Twenty Faces Talkback (Spoilers)

Haven't seen 14, but engaging the press is probably a losing proposition for Chiko. Any information she gives about Twenty Faces, even in his defense, would invite more questions. Twenty Faces is likely well used to being portrayed badly by the press and he doesn't care. In contrast volunteering information would, at best, do nothing to help him.

Also, talking to the press gives them license to start pursuing her. If she starts getting followed everywhere by reporters, searching for Twenty Faces only becomes more difficult. What is worrying is that she's leaving her aunt alone, probably for the same reasons. That decision actually puts her in danger, even though she's equipped to handle it. There's always the 1% chance that the aunt will get lucky at some point.

Not that she will, of course, since there wouldn't be a show then. But you see what I mean.

But she even hides it from her frienRAB and Tome. I thought that at least she could say "Don't worry, he didn't hurt me" in private, seeing as how they fret so much over her safety. I just bothers me to watch something not true go on as being the truth in the eyes of the characters.
Dramatic Irony and all that jazz really kills me.

Koito, at least, doesn't seem to think anything bad happened, considering she wants to help Chiko look for him (even if her motives are somewhat selfish). As for Tome, well... *shrug*

So when does each episode air? I just finished episode 14 and I want MORE!

I'm not sure what to say which hasn't already been said. The series has shown its not afraid to take risks and even though it slowed down a little after ep 6 it seems to be kicking into High Gear again.

I just watched the first four episodes and I find it quite fantastic. It was cool to see Chiko grow from an innocent young girl into a cunning woman. I should suggest this show to my anime club before the next term begins.

Bump bump bumpity bump.

People who are in the know will understand why I did this. Be patient and the revelation will come to fruition.

Ok, I just watched ep 15 and... What happened there? Suddenly we have an episode filled with annoying side characters who only seem to be distracting from the main plot and we even had fanservice in this episode and much more noticeable Yuri overtones. Really, this was surpisingly weak and didn't move the plot along, I gotta hope the next ep is better

Though if there's one good thing thing I have to say about this its the way they handled the Detective character (can't remeraber his name) I'm actually beginning to like him, so maybe that sorta makes up for the rest of the cast in this ep.

Also just watched 15. I actually chuckled at the ' Tome walks in at the wrong moment' scenes. Other than that, I agree- I want to get back to the main plot. I'm worried this show is going to turn it's focus more towarRAB the detective ladies than the actual Twenty Faces mystery. Sure this was nice to pass the time but other than that it really developed nothing but a little bit about the detective and the fact that Tome might have experimented with women at some point in her life o.o [she made a comment about it in the beginning of the episode though I'm probably just throwing it way out of context..then again the look on the girls faces after she left was pretty hilarious XD]
Holy fanservice D;

Yeah, the Yuri overtones were way more blatant in this ep. I don't have much of a problem with that, but I prefer the subtler way they were going about it in the last couple of eps.

Finally got a chance to watch Episode 15 today. Wasn't too bad suffice to say. Personally I liked how much of a breath of fresh air it kindof was when having to deal with such a rollercoaster ride that was Episodes 6-14. The detective got some nice development, and it was also rather nice to see some dynamics being formed with the Beautiful Detective Girls... Even if it gets into a bit of the yuri/fanservice territory. (Although to be fair, at least it wasn't coming out of the fantasies of some maladjusted male teenager but the benign, Walter Mitty-esque fantasies of Koito)

While 15 wasn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination, it was nowhere near up to the level of the recent episodes. Hopefully this was just a breather from all the previous drama and we can get onto some other story after this. Chiko using the broom to beat up her attackers was pretty awesome and it was nice to see the detective getting some development.

The fanservice/random yuri overtones caught me off guard, since, well, this series doesn't really do that. Again, I'll deal with it as long as the story comes back, but since this is where the anime is diverging from the manga, I can only hope we get what was so great from the first "half" from the second "half."

AFAIK, the series is only slated for 22 episodes, so I don't think so.

I just really wish someone would license the manga because I'd like to see more of the original story.

But I did some looking around and[xspoiler=Minor spoiler for upcoming eps]we are getting another story arc starting with 16, relating to Twenty Faces' past. So hopefully it'll be good.[/xspoiler]

An average episode this time, if decent. I did like how the inspector is finally kind of cool now. Needless to say, by far the best part was Chiko using a broom in ways it was never intended to be used. Good stuff.

I'll second the hope for the manga. I'd buy it, and I'm very picky about what manga I read.

Episode 16! A vast improvement from the last one. I hope 17 comes along soon.

The mystery of Twenty Faces' legacy, a French poem, a mysterious attacker, the return of Ken, Twenty Faces' old teacher, and Tome wanting Chiko to have nothing more to do with Twenty Faces. Lots of nice plot was set up in this episode.

I feel a bit bad for Tome. She wants what's best for Chiko and her advice would keep Chiko safe, but Chiko is getting herself involved again and basically ignoring that. "Watch, listen, and think for yourself" won the day. I like this kind of plot a lot more than the Aunt's next half-baked attempt to get rid of Chiko.

In spite of Chiko's decision to trust Twenty Faces, the episode left doubt about whether this is smart--it does to me, at least. Well done. However I think that at best, the professor only has a part of the truth. It seems pretty clear to me that Twenty Faces did things during the war that he regrets, and his actions suggest to me that he's trying to fix things as best he can. The Professor sees it differently, believing that he's just going for personal gain.

At worst, the professor will turn out to be not as nice as he looks. I could see him being a "progress at any cost" kind of guy who's simply mad at Twenty Faces over burning down the labs and destroying their research. I'm pretty confident that one way or the other Chiko is headed for trouble, which will make Ken's intervention necessary. Wouldn't be surprised for the "Detective Girls" to go after her either.

Needless to say, if we're lucky, Twenty Faces will show up again.

Yeah, an improvement, though I still have some qualms. This show has suddenly got alot slower, and Chieko's friend (Shunka) is just as annoying as ever. I really miss how cool the cast of characters were before episode 6.

Still, it looks like the series has another story arc coming up, so hopefully we won't get too many "Milk, tea and Yuri" eps anymore.
