Hello all,
I've been lurking around here for awhile and finally thought I'd at least introduce myself.
I'm living in the Houston, TX area and have been an admirer of Ducatis for some time. My riding background started in the dirt and has pretty much followed Harley Davidson's since the '80's (after they stopped making the shovelhead).
Frankly, my interest in sportbikes started later in life...the limited performance of a Harley based v-twin was something I was getting tired of.
When I decided to change directions in terms of bike styles (cruiser v. sportbike), my first thought was to look at a European brand like Ducati, or BMW. I didn't really check either maker out to throughly, bs about cost (both) and reliability (Ducati) steered me away.
My next choice was a Hayabusa...and why not? Makes perfect sense to go from a cruiser to the worlds fastest supersport, right?
To make a long story short, I love my 'busa, the power and performance are amazing...and I still have a Harley which I still ride (and love) tho I don't ride it nearly as much.
I still want a Duc tho. Alot. But, the times ain't so good to justify 3 bikes in the stable, at least not right now. But my wish list has an 848 on it...in red...So in the mean time, I'll continue watch and learn and maybe post once in awhile. Cheers.
