Voice actor surprises.

Yeah, Jim Cummings is a fairly easy voice actor to pick out on a show, but Pooh and Tigger are extremely different from most of his other voices. A shame he's not able to really showcase all the range he has, despite how many cartoons he's been in. I'd love to hear him use voices like those on other shows.
 
I found out a while ago that the same guy who did Frieza in Dragon Ball's Japanese dub also did Yakko of Animaniacs and Cranky Kong of Donkey Kong Country. japanese dubs of course...
 
Speaking of Japanese voice actors some really surprise me, Ryō Horikawa who has done the voice of Vegeta from Dragon Ball he also voiced Andromeda Shun from Saint Seiya, Tadao Yokoshima from Ghost Sweeper Mikami and Hermit from Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple.

Also Akio Ohtsuka who has done the voice of Solid Snake he also done the voice of Blackbeard from One Piece and Batou from Ghost in the Shell.

I want to add some Spanish voice actors since i have seen some dubs: Carlos Segundo is known on doing the voice of Piccolo from Dragon Ball but also has done the voice of Alf, Woody from Toy Story and Goofy. V?ctor Trujillo who is known as Brozo the Creepy Clown he has done the voice of Lion-O from the Thundercats, that one was really shocker to me when i heard that he has done the voice for the spanish version.
 
One surprise to me:

Brian Doyle-Murray (Captain K'nuckles in Flapjack) is also voicing a cop in WordGirl.

Just can't picture it, but it's true.
 
I remember having my mind blown to find out that Daran Norris (Cosmo from Fairly Oddparents) also did the voice of Tasuki from Fushigi Yuugi. It was when he started yelling that the Cosmo voice slipped out.

Another one was Dave Cooksey, who I knew as Jack Spicer from Xiaolin Showdown, and Hotstreak from Static Shock, also voiced Montanna Max in Tiny Toon Adventures.

Mark Hammil surprises me in pretty much every role, but the one that takes the cake is Muska from Castle in the Sky. I watched the whole movie through without knowing that it was him, until seeing one of the behind the scenes features on the DVD. But afterwards, it was obvious, since there were some points when he slipped into his Joker voice.
 
Danny Cooksey was also Budnick from Salute Your Shorts.

I sat through all of Castle in the Sky trying to pin down Muska's voice, never figured it out until the creadits came up.
 
Roger Jackson surprised me.

Sound is a bit distorted on it, but it's a few clips on how awesome his voice acting is.

After years of being a PPG fan, I found out my sexy Cheshire Cat voice was the same to that of MoJo Jo Jo.

However, I do not find MoJo's voice equally as sexy. Even though he is awesome.
 
Really? That's surprising. I saw Tasuki's voice actor under a different name, so I didn't think that they were the same person. Now that I think about it, Cosmo's early season voice, the one that I thought was fine, does sound like a more hyperactive Tasuki. I also think he voiced a random bodyguard in one episode of Disney's The Replacement and it did sound exactly like Tasuki.

I also agree with Mark Hamill being the Joker. I haven't seen much of the Star Wars movies, so I didn't associate him as Luke Skywalker. Though, from the bits I have seen from the movies, it's really surprising to see him being the typical good guy to voicing such a dangerous and awesome villain.

Eric Stuart, the original voices of Brock and James from Pokemon and Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh!, has his own band called the Eric Stuart band.

In terms of Japanese voice actors, Rica Matsumoto, the voice actress for Satoshi/Ash in the various Pocket Monsters series, also voiced Bakura in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters.
 
I was surprised when I learned that Mung Daal on Chowder is voiced by the same guy who played "Howlin' Mad" Murdok on The A-Team (Dwight Schultz).
 
I think I mentioned it before in another thread, but I remember being surprised to find out that Tom Kenny voiced the Narrator on from The Powerpuff Girls. Back then, the only voices I knew he did were the high-pitched, nasally ones like Spongebob, or Carl from Johnny Bravo, and I didn't think he had that much range.

It also surprised me to find out that Tress McNellie could do voices other than old women. Needless to say, I was shocked to find out she voiced Dot from Animaniacs, and Daisy.
 
The late great Lorenzo Music as Super-Pac on Saturday Supercade threw me completely. Honestly, if you had only heard his standard Garfield/Tummi Gummi/Peter Venkman voice, you'd never guess it was him.

Also, Maurice LaMarche in his higher-pitched roles, such as Dizzy Devil on Tiny Toons, or the Evil Midnight Bomber from The Tick, usually because I associate him with deeper voices.

Frank Welker also as the Sandman on The Real Ghostbusters. That voice is out there even for Frank.

I've also got to mention Jim Cummings as Psy-Crow on Earthworm Jim. Not your typical Cummings voice at all. In fact I always enjoy hearing his higher-pitched voices, like Bonkers and Don Karnage, because they're so different from his standard deep voice.
 
I remember another actor: Keith David best known on doing the voice of Goliath from Gargoyles, what surprise me was that he had done the voice of Spawn and later found out that he was the same actor who played Childs from the scifi/horror movie The Thing.
 
I'm just watching Transformers G1 and did you know that Cummings provided the voice for Afterburnner? because it sure doesn't sound like him.
 
To this day I still find it hard to wrap my head around the fact that Barry Gordon, the voice behind Donatello from the 1987 Ninja Turtles series and Razor of the SWATKats, is the same Barry Gordon who sang that old Christmas staple "Nuttin' For Christmas".
