Voice actor surprises.

I have actually never seen Daria, but its connection to Bevis and Butthead are how I remember it. All I know is that Thompson did some voices. If they were of important characters, that sorry. But what was the reason to bold my name? That is sort a rude.

That suprised the hell outta me too. It was practically a double-whammy when I learned that AND the fact that he voices Fire Lord Ozai from Avatar on the same day. Now I just imagined Ozai with a lightsaber and a hand buzzer, with a crazy Joker laugh to go along with it all.

Holy.... I remember bits and pieces of Babar, but it was definately one of my favorites when I was really young. Tara does alot of voices even now, like Timmy Turner, Omi, and Raven.

Really? Damn... it doesn't even sound like him either, compared to recent voices of his that I know of.

Wasn't it Danny and not Dave? Unless he changed his name... but yeah. And the irony is that both those characters are redheads, while Danny himself is a redhead.

And those of you who are MacGyver fans... including myself... Danny Cooksey was on the MacGyver episode "Eagles". If you remember that episode, Danny is the little redhead boy in that episode. I was all "wtf that's Jack and Hotstreak!?:D"

What suprise me of Barry Gordon is that he done the voice of the NesQuik Bunny and Junior from the Snorks. Speaking of the Snorks, i had no idea that Nancy Cartwright did the voice of Daffney Gillfin

Here's one for the books.

In the original Super Friends, virtually all of the cast had to do extra voices, presumably to save money. Not a problem for Casey Kasem (Robin), who was used to doing 2 or more characters per ep anyway. The point is, he also did some of the villains, including Dr. Gulliver (with a knockout Peter Lorre mimic that I didn't pick up on when I first saw this ep back in '73 as a 10 year old).

I think it was pretty common back then to take cost saving measures.

James Doohan (Montgomery Scott) and Majel Barrett (Nurse Christine Chapel) had to voice various characters on Star Trek The Animated Series. One notable example is Majel taking on the role of Amanda Grayson (Spock's Mother).

The New Adventures of Batman voice actor Lennie Weinrib voiced not only voiced Commissioner Gordon, but pretty much every villains aside from Clayface and obviously not Catwoman.

Technically he reprised the role as J Jonah Jameson. He voiced him on on the Playstation and N64 game simply titled Spider-Man.

Dee Bradley Baker also voiced Curt Connors on a video game (Spider-Man 2 Enter Electro for the Playstation) prior to his voice work on SSM.

Nothing hostile intended about it; it's just personal style: series names get italics, episode names get put in quotation marks, poster names go in bold. I apologize for the perceived slight. As for the post itself, it was meant to be informative, nothing more.

Speaking of Daran Norris:

Did you know he appeared in the 1988 movie Hobgoblins, which was featured in one of the most infamous episodes of MST3K? I couldn't believe it when I saw his name in the credits.

Keith Ferguson voices Basch in Final Fantasy XII. Hard to believe it's the same guy that voices Bloo on Foster's.

Danny Cooksey (Montana Max, Stoop Kid) was the lead guitarist/vocalist in a group called Bad4Good in the early 90s when he was still a teenager.

Will Shadley (Gorgonzola from Chowder) plays Ian in The Spy Next Door.

And like E.G. Daily, he's a singer first.

Matter of fact, Eric's released his first album years before he got famous for his voice work.

His early songs sound nothing like him now.

There seem to be alot of singers in the VA community.

Long John Baldry, better known as Dr. Ivo "Pingas!" Robotnik from the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was a singer, with works going back to the sixties.

Wikipedia claims, though I've not been able to confirm anywhere else that it is the same person, that Scott Mccord (Yang, Trent/Owen) is a singer. I think they are both from Canada, so it is possible.

Sort of a reverse surprise occurred when I realized that Pee-Wee's girlfriend in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure was none other than E.G. Daily. All the way back when she was still going by Elizabeth Daily. She was adorable in that movie.

While his voice is pretty easy to spot, I found it amusing that Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp, Ranma, L) is the Japanese voice of both Bugs Bunny, and Kyle from South Park.

A huge surprise for me was finding out that Alessandro Juliani, who voiced L in the dub of Death Note, also voiced Kid Icarus/Pit from Captain N when he was a kid.

Wow, really? And i thought the one of Tara Strong was a surprise but from E.G. Daily didn't expected that.

Speaking of Pee-Wee, didn't know that Paul Reubens did the voice of Reuben from Chowder.

Bonus Surprise actors:

Scott McNeil: Who did the voice of Wolverine, Dinobot and Waspinator had done the voice of Voltar from The League of Super Evil, didn't expected that from guy who has a deep voice in my opinion.

Corey Burton: I knew Burton from Brainiac, Shockwave and V.V. Argost but didn't know he voiced James Bond Jr., Dale from Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers and from the movie Critters doing the voices of the creatures.

Dee Bradley Baker: I know he does alot of voices but surprise me that he has done the sounds of zombies and monsters from live action movies like Dawn of the Dead, Feast and Quarantine.

Jeff Bennett: Known him as Johnny Bravo, Brooklyn from Gargoyles but didn't know he did the voice of Dad from Dexter Laboratory, Clay from Xiaolin Showdown and Azmuth from Ben 10 AF, i thought the last one was done by Billy West.

Susan Silo: Done the voices of Wuya and Dr. Karbunkle from Biker Mice. What i didn't know she voiced Sandra Shore from the Inhumanoids.

I kinda expected that. But What surprised me was that McNeil was Onua in Bionicle Mask of light (I honestly never knew his voice could go that deep). I was also shocked to see that he had also done creature vocals time and again.

Actually, I read on Wikipedia that Burton not only did the Crites' vocals but also created their language too.

Doesn't suprise me. Baker's probbably the thid rmost used voice actor to date.

I was also surprised to find out that the character of Hatch from Battle Force Five was voiced by a female. Honestly, I thought that was McNeil for a bit.

Mike Patton of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle does a lot of monster/zombie voices, mostly for video games. He did the snarling noises for GlaDoS's anger sphere in Portal and the infected voices in both Left 4 Dead games.

I was surprised that Noelle North, who did Princess Calla's voice in the "Gummi Bears" series, also did Cubbi's as well (and Slouchy Smurf's).

I was surprised that Marc Thompson started out on Daria, as some random character, years before he became famous with 4kids.

Also, that Matt and Trey from South Park do almost every voice, even Chef's parents.

Dan Green's actual name is Jay Snyder, and he directed MARVEL Astounding X-Men MC to boot. Dan Green in general, as I always hear that voice on some commercial I wouldn't think he would do, such as Rooms to Go, where the announcer sounds almost exactly like him.
