Ok, so after both of our computers messed up we were sent a Vista disk to install Vista onto one of our laptops. Out of curiosity I decided to install it onto our desktop too. However, I soon learned it was illegal and that I only had a 30 grace period.
I AM going to buy it, but need to save up my money first (after a costly death in the family days prior). To extend our period until I get the money for Vista I discovered "slmgr -rearm", a command prompt that supposedly will extend the grace period for 30 days (and can be used 3 times.)
However, I used it 3 times and I still am being told I only have 3 days left. Why is it saying I only have 3 days left even though I only installed the disk a week ago and have used the "slmgr -rearm" command prompt multiple times?
Please help, I didn't intentionally mean to do something wrong, and I plan on buying it in like a month, how can I get extra time to save up the money? Please help, thanks!
