Various Musicians Slaughter Classic Albums

Indeed he is much more whiny than Tupac. But he is very lyrically talented as well - I prefer him to Tupac as a rapper.

I like Pink Moon, even if it can get a bit repetitive in parts.

But I do think that singer/songwriters (especially ones who are dead) get ridiculously overhyped though.

You don't like the BenRAB? You sure? :p:

The ones on Abba and The Strokes are the only ones I can agree with.

You know, merabers of Art Brut should refrain from calling any band awful to avoid overwhelming irony.

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWHOLE LOT OF LOVE LORD OF THE RINGS, I WORSHIP SATAN IN MY BASEMENT, FUCK SHARKS AND LITTLE GIRLS LOL IM PLANT WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

And it's starting to get really old now.I don't know why you can't look at either in an objective manner. I would take you a hell of a lot more seriously if that wasn't all you did here. Your whole level of debate these days is just a carbon copy of the stuff Don used to come out with on a regular basis , and I mistakingly gave you credit for being smarter than that.

No kidding. You show up here and pretend that you've got some great insight into the personalities of everybody who posts here based solely on their listening habits. Then you criticise anybody with an opinion contrary to your own.

Sometimes I wonder if you do it just to be contrary.

I have nothing but respect for the Flaming Lips, but I disagree strongly with his article on Nevermind, the "sounRAB just like Nickelback" line is particularly laughable. And I have little tollerance for mediocre no name artists like Billy Childish, The Kooks, Cornershop and The Hold Steady knocking down my favorites. What they do is insignificant enough as it is. And Franz Ferdinand are horrible, they have no right to criticize anybody. The only one I really agree with is Arrival.

Chump is right, all of these are really pretentious. They're essentially pulling a pitchfork. "Lets say stuff to piss off classic rock fans regardless of how retarded it makes us look".

Now if they had someone tear Turn On The Bright Lights, Moon & Antarctica or Pink Moon apart, I would have something positive to say.

Doubtful, Nirvana already had a huge impact before Cobain's death. The only thing that would have changed is that Nirvana probably woudn't be canonized like they are now, but they would still have a massive influence.

Well correct me if I'm wrong but he was saying that people say "they sound like nickleback" because we're inundated with that sound, so people hearing Nevermind after Nickleback would make that assumption.

I don't know if its laughable so much as it is accurate.

Also,

Not really. I can't imagine you find it illogical that people have dissenting opinions to over hyped bull****. And classic rock? I think it well beyond that. And come on, that velvet underground review was incredibly accurate.

What is objective about taste? Nothing. Thats all we ever talk about, nothing remotely close to being objective. You mouth off a load of banRAB you dont like (aka the banRAB that are actually good) and speak it as objective fact, this is what everyone here does. So because I decide to play a little provocative game of fighting fire with fire I'm being unreasonable and unfair? I'm not contributing enough? I'm not being objective? I don't owe you people a damn thing.

Eminem the Dylan of rap? Hardly. I quite like the Marshall Mathers LP, there was some genuine anger and emotion there. But c'mon, the guy wrote lyrics such as

I pretty much agree with everything here. Nirvana was in the right place at the right time, and nothing more. If Kurt hadn't killed himself, they wouldn't have made such an impact.

This one I disagree with too. I love Pet SounRAB. The album cover does suck though.

Ok, so one day BB Kings wife decides to get a good present for his 81st birthday. So she decides to tatoo the initials BB on her ass cheeks.

Well that night on BBs birthday, BB sits down on his bed and his wife says "BB, I have a special surprise for you", so she pulls up her dress and takes off her panties, and BB stares for a little bit, before he finally asks "Who's Bob?"

You are a funny one. BTW the reason I quoted this pointless post of yours was in case you went back to edit it to try to bail yourself out of the sh*t.

You seem to like doing that.

But they sound exactly the same. Only Good News takes the format to new annoying extremes. LCW isn't any better I'm sure, and I have heard some songs from it that are pretty horrible. Teeth Like GoRAB Shoeshine for one of the worst songs of the 90s.
