Using CAT5 for RCA’s or speaker wire?

Hi-fi buffs will tell you twin flat and earth cable is best for speakers due to skin effect.
 
I have read on some home audio sites that people are using CAT5 (and better) for their home audio systems. I would like to know if any one any has experience in using this method in car audio? If so, what is your opinion about it? Thanks for all your answers in advance.
