use built in Chat application with Data! mobjab.com

Hi

Regarding the points

1) The split between mobjab.net and mobjab.mobi is confusing. Some features are supported on one but not the other but the user must pick which one to log into.

Yes. Its bit confusing. We tried to get XMPP/Gtalk integrated wtih mobjab.mobi IMPS server but were not able to get that stable. Hence we started mobjab.net with XMPP/Gtalk integrated. Eventually we plan to move other External IMs to mobjab.net.

2) I do not seem able to download or create a contact list on mobjab.net

You need to add XMPP/Gtalk users directly. You wont get them loaded on your contact lists directly like on mobjab.mobi

3) while I'm logged into mobjab.net, Google Talk shows my availability off and on (mostly off).

Will check on this.

4) Chats opened with Google Talks sometimes arrive as a chat and sometimes as an e-mail.

The ones where email arrived would be on mobjab.mobi IMPS server as on this server we got Email2Mobile feature activated. Else if its come on mobjab.net then it would be offline messages.

5) The instructions and FAQs are clear, one-by-one, but the whole taken together is confusing (at least to me).

Yes. It would look confusing for first time user.

Hi Dmitriy,

Can you create a new list? I mean lets say your old list was "abc". Create a new list "xyz" and then add. Let us know if this works or not while trying to add contacts.

Dear Mobjab staff:

Your current user management toolkit needs a face lift. I need to be able to login and see my profile, i.e. my current information, including my IM gateways and I need to be able to edit/view/delete my info and gateways instead of submitting a bunch of disconnected, different registration requests (the way you have it now). I hope it's not difficult to implement a standard user management interface.

The second issue is: where is your web client? I'd like to be able to test my settings and the web client would make it simple(r).

You already support the big 4 IM services, AIM, MSN, Yahoo and Gtalk, so good job there! When will these things be implemented? Thanks.

Hi Dmitriy,

Thanks for the feedback. Checked the logs. We were not able to process your content correctly on mobjab.in server. Looking into this.

Will appreciate your feedback on mobjab.mobi server for ICQ Transport on Russian language support.

Hi

Are your Gtalk contacts able to send a message to you? Can you see your Gtalk contacts status and can your Gtalk contacts see your status?

Team@Mobjab

I'm not sure how to do this. Since Mobjab.net does not allow me to download the contact list from the server and my E61 does not allow me to add contacts without a contact list and I can't create a contact list, it's sort of a Catch-22. There's not (that I can see) a way to add an IM contact in the phone's Address Book and whenever I try to create an IM contact list in the phone it reports and error. The only way I've been able to create an IM contact list is via the web Java applet and then download it from mobjab.mobi.

Right now I get an error when I try to log into mobjab.net, so I can't give specifics.

Also, while there is a school of thought which says that English is just French pronounced very badly, translating the French diagnostic messages does add a small additional layer of confusion to the process. ;)

Thanks MobJab..that solved my problem right away...I am back on and IMing away. Please make sure to add this to your website as this could be a really big sticking point

do let me know when that Gtalk releases as that is what I am waiting for...I could get rid of msn but gtalk is da MOTZ

Hi, I also having problem with my phone. I am using SE K530, i had configured the MyFriends settings with mobjab.net as in the website stated. my username is cheahkhing, but i can't see my Gtalk friends online. They just simply appear offline. :( Please help.

Hi

I belive you would be using the mobjab.mobi domain instead of mobjab.net domain. Cuase I think you have activated the mobile2email feature whcih is avaialble only on mobjab.mobi domain. Thats why all the contacts are showing logged on.

When you want to connect to gtalk/xmpp IM then you need to connect to mobjab.net only and NOT mobjab.mobi

Refer to Details on http://mobjab.com/imps-gtalk-xmpp-jabber.htm

I use a Sony Ericsson W880i on the Telstra (Australia) Network.
I had the IM up and going and I was using it obsessively every day (I catch two busses to work).

All of a sudden its telling me "login failed" and it wont tell me why!! I havent changed any of my settings!!

The internet browsing on my phone works fine. I have plenty of juice left in my datapack... I cant think of anything it could be besides a server issue??

If anyone knows anything pls help!! I got a taste of it and now I cant live without it!!! :(

Everything else works beautifully - all my contacts "were" available... (after I worked out I had to add them through "watching users") chatting is seamless... I really want to try the new mobiletoemail feature... IF ONLY I COULD LOG IN!!
