Can someone tell me how exactly am i supposed to register an gtalk/xmpp account, coz when i open 'manage services' from the web client i don't see any option letting me do that, there's user directory, conference rooms, aim, msn and yahoo transports plus a server field, but no sing of gtalk/xmpp. I'm puzzled

PS. Couldn't You come up with a more convenient way of editing account preferences than through a java client?

Hi Dmitriy,

Thanks for your time on this. Will check on this on the mobjab.in server.

Would request one more favour. On mobjab.mobi imps server can you register any AIM/ICQ account on "AIM Transport" via the web client and then try sending and receiving Cyrillic (Russian) messages. Let us know if that works well or not.

Thanks once again

I signed up for Mobjab and would like to modify some of the IM services. It seems that to do that I have to install a Java aplet on my PC's web browser. When I start to do this the browser warns me of two things: 1) The aplet is requesting a level of access which could permit damage to my system and 2) the aplet's certificate has expired. Why does the Java aplet need this level of access and why has the certificate expired?

I just got it working on my Nokia N95-2 on T-Mobile USA. This phone has unrestricted Internet Access.

I do see that the server goes offline form time to time, but this new Firmware seems to reconnect me.

I am going to try it tonight with a T-Mobile USA phone that only has the basic T-Zone to see how it works, I am curious to see.

Hi...thanks again for addressing my question.

Whenever I attempt to add the XMPP account via the account management feature on the website, I am unable to successfully add my XMPP account. I just logged in to mobjab on my phone and still I am unable to see any of my gtalk contacts.

PLease let me know if I should try adding my XMPP account again or if there is something on the server you need to update.

Also once my gtalk is working I would like to remove my MSN account...how do I go about doing that?

In networking terms, it wouldn't create significant overhead for the server process to listen on an additional TCP/IP port. Alternatively, if the server daemon is not coded to be able to bind more than one port, an internal UNIX/Linux firewall rule can be implemented to do a localhost port redirect, with minimal consumption of system resources.

What I am saying here is that, elegance and preferences aside, there are no real reasons to restrict this application to a singular port.

After reducing my contact list to a more manageable number (as advised by support) my contacts were still not retrieved from the server. Basically no users showed up.

I discovered that I have to add the users I want to my phone, MANUALLY. This way, when I turn off the IM program and turn it back on, the users that I added MANUALLY will show up again. Surprise. If I were to wait for the users to be retrieved (like its suppose to do), nothing will show up.

However here some other 'glitches' i've noticed. Some users will show up as ONLINE even though they are OFFLINE. And vice versa, showing OFFLINE when they are ONLINE. Even after I MANUALLY refresh their 'availability. This does not happen to all the the contacts.

I noticed more so, when you add a yahoo or any MSN passport ID for msn, other than HOTMAIL.com email address, the user tends to show up ONLINE all the time (even when they are NOT). Same goes to Googletalk. When you send them a text message, they receive an email instead. hotmail.com ID's seem to work better.

Other problems like... logging in now, I have 17 contacts. The next login I will have the same contacts twice, to 34 contacts. The next login I will have 2 contacts and so on.

I have been able to communicate using the phone's IM with some users without too much hassle - with regards to the act of messenging. I'm pleased that I can. However I wish that it would work more smoothly. A little dissapointed at the whole outcome, but am glad that you guys are working on it. I do wish there was more support though.

Would appreciate any advise if anybody has any, with regards to what I've mentioned.

Hi Kevex

Had made a change at our side on mobjab.net IMPS server for the initial login part. Can you kindly try to login now. It should work.

Kindly let us know your feedback on this.

It's the same as on this forum. :)

OK, I'll register my ICQ account and will let you know about results.

You service is great! Glad to help you make it even better. :)
