use built in Chat application with Data! mobjab.com

Port 80 has some sort of time out bout 10 mins if little or no activity . I'm currently using morange an over come this hurdle by leaving a web page ie. Google on the web browser section .

Seems you're right, people can message me. Problem - I can't view my contact list. The retrieve seems to fail every time.

And Phone Insanity - status messages don't work for MSN either.

Hi

When you first login to your MobJab account after you have added AIM/MSN/Yahoo/ICQ external networks in your account you would get a presence message from the server asking your authorisation that if you want to add your buddy on the external network to your buddy list and subscribe to his presence. You need to add and authorise and subscribe to presence of the external transports buddies. Else you wont see the external buddies presence.

i have the same problem with MSN. every time i log into the web client i have to subscribe to presence all the contacts. even if i renamed them in the web client. next time i log in the renaming disappear and the same presence dialog asks again , is there something wrong i can fix?

Hi

Yes. You are correct. Gtalk/XMPP is standalone option only. We tried integrating Gtalk/XMPP via mobjab.mobi domain server but were not able to get it done.

We do have plans to add AIM/ICQ/Yahoo/MSN on the mobjab.net domain at a later stage.

Hi ceevee

Appreciate your feedback. The errors like "Server Timeout" or "Server Error" or "Server didnt respond". This is due to the fact that the mobile operators proxy is allowing gprs/data access only on port 80 (regular web port) and port 9090 is not allowed access.

Due to this we have changed the URL/Server/HomePage of MobJab IMPS Gateway to http://mobjab.mobi from http://mobjab.mobi:9090. All MobJab Users are advised to change to http://mobjab.mobi in their existing mobile handset asap.

http://mobjab.mobi:9090 will be made non functional by 30th June 2008 and only http://mobjab.mobi will be allowed access.

Regards

Mobjab used to work flawlessly for me but now i can never even sign in, it just gives me everytime

"Sorry, you do not appear to be registered to this transport. Please register and try again"

Turns out that IE is not so particular as Opera but it still complains about the expired certificate. I'm testing Mobjab and find it a bit non-intuitive. Not as easy to use as, say, Fring; particularly when it come to Google Talk and other Jabber systems. While I am still working my way through the FAQ and other instructions, there are a few issues that are confusing me: 1) The split between mobjab.net and mobjab.mobi is confusing. Some features are supported on one but not the other but the user must pick which one to log into. 2) I do not seem able to download or create a contact list on mobjab.net 3) while I'm logged into mobjab.net, Google Talk shows my availability off and on (mostly off). 4) Chats opened with Google Talks sometimes arrive as a chat and sometimes as an e-mail. 5) The instructions and FAQs are clear, one-by-one, but the whole taken together is confusing (at least to me).

Couldn't test this completely.

1. Logged on to web applet, set my ICQ UIN.
2. Chatted with ICQ user _from web applet_ in Russian. No problems with Cyrillic text.

But I cannot logon to mobjab.mobi from my phone! Tried 3 variants of logon name (with domain .in, with domain .mobi and with no domain at all) but no success.

If you see in logs any problems on my side (e.g. incorrect logon settings) please let me know. But I had no problems with mobjab.in.

Regards,
D.

works good.- but all the application cannot find all my MSN contact! am i doing something wrong? i havee about 30 people on my list

In settings i have offline contacts set to hide but on my im main menu i can see all the offline contacts marked as away including myself marked as away with that orange icon, when i am in fact online. It is my first time using mobjab

Im still testing tzones with mobjab and its been going okay so far. The contact list part is still wierd since i don't get an info about the presence thing mentioned on the site.

Is there some other way I can update my contacts?

I tried it on a Nokia 7390 on T-Mobile USA with the basic $5.99 WAP plan. It keeps coming up with Login Failed but I know the login credentials work because I tested it on the Nokia N95 and it works.

I don't know what to try now, Im not sure how to test what T-Mobile is blocking.

Thanks

Hello

There will be a downtime for 8-12 hours on the server as we are making technical upgrades on the server. We will update when the server will be back online.

Hi

This adding contacts issue is resolved on MobJab.In Server. Can you kindly confirm at your side if its working fine or not?

Thanks

Hi

Email us your mobjab username so that we can check your account.

Alternatively you can login to the web client and re-register your external IM account again.
