I suppose your problem is the same as mine was. See response to my request from mobjab team on 09-26-2009.

In brief, latest SE phones can connect to GTalk only for now, as I understand.

200 contacts would be bit high for any handset to handle. Would suggest you use any Extneral IM which has lesser contacts.

I have been trying to use Web Chat Applet to configure XMPP (GTAlk account) in my account. The option doesn't appear, just User Directory, Conference Room, MSN Transport, AIM Transport and Yahoo! Transport and then Server.

I was able to successfully remove my msn account but I need to add gtalk however none of my contacts are showing up.

I think something is not working right, since I went to add services and added my "sadudes" account. Port for 5222 is right but I also added my password and gmail.com as well as talk.google.com for domain/ip

Jabber-XMPP-Gtalk External IM connectivity issues fixed. IMPS version 1.3 now supported. Following Details:

GoogleTalk-Gtalk Messenger and Jabber-XMPP Messenger External Connectivty is offered as a stand alone option via mobjab.net Domain.

That means if you want to use AOL Instant Messenger - AIM, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Instant Messenger - YIM and ICQ Messenger from your Mobile Handset then you need to connect via mobjab.mobi Domain.

Features of MobJab IMPS Gateway on mobjab.net Domain:

1. IMPS version 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 is supported by mobjab.net Domain. SonyEricsson A200 platform phones like w910i, K850i, Z750a are some of the mobile handsets which have 1.3 version of Wireless Village Protocol.

2. Register for your MobJab account if you dont have one. Then You need to login to your IMPS client with your MobJab account in the following manner:

Server/Homepage/URL: http://mobjab.net

User ID : username of your MobJab account (format is [email protected] strictly)

Password: password of your MobJab account

3. Once logged in just add Gtalk-Jabber-XMPP users as contacts. For example you need to add [email protected] or [email protected]

4. Web Client and Email2Mobile Feature Doesnt work with mobjab.net Domain.

Yes its a fault on the digicel network (i think) to reduce bandwidth hogs: like me from staying online all day . Only morange works around this ... And i guess i'll have to go back to them if this isn't sloved.
 
Correct. GRPS has been setup with Fido, and I can access the web through the Symbian included browser.



I'm not quite sure how I would confirm whether or not it is truely an IMPS client. I found Mobjab through a series of Google searches pertaining to wirelessvillage. The built-in client was originally pointed at wirelessvillage, which, unless I am mistaken, is an IMPS service.



Yes, I have to put in my username and password for my Hotmail account.

Unfortunately, it complains that "Server not responding" when I try to sign in.

I think we can figure out this. that 15 minute is the responce time out form our side. What happens is that if your IMPS client is just polling/hitting our servers for data then we would time the IMPS client out after 15 minutes of idle polling.

That means if you are not chatting...as in not sending messages nor receiving messges for 15 minutes then you will be loged out.

Can you confirm if your imps client remains idle for 15 minutes?

But the issue is that we had this feature right from start....when we were on port 9090 only and not on port 80.....can you confirm you never faced a problem on 9090 port?

1.i am unable to see the presence of my contacts list....when i first used the web client i entered into manage services and i added my yahoo account and i found around 20 boxes opening which asked me for my friends request for my presence.....what my doubt is i had more than 100 contacts but only 20 were found on server ...cant i see all my contacts of yahoo account ???

100 contacts would be bit 2 much for your phone to handle.

2.how to notice my friends presence ??...any lights glow...i kept my presence to be " available for all " in my settings option

you would see a green icon when your freinds are online. For this to happen both you and your freinds needs to subscribed to each others presence.

3.i am from india .to join a public group i entered in search group option and entered "india"....but it is displaying "no results found "
do we have any public groups or not ?

Yes. Else just create a group of your name and you can enter that group.

4.when i first opened on my mobile i didnt get ant request from server asking me for my "" presence update ""......i found many are saying a request from server will be seen during first login.....please explain these lines

You will get this when you login to the web client.

But with 100 contacts would be difficult to get it working stably on your phone.

Regarding Jabber-XMPP-Gtalk External IM kindly note the following:

Users who have registered for Jabber-XMPP-Gtalk External IM are requested to register their Jabber-XMPP-Gtalk External IM details again using the My Account as we have made some changes at our side.

Kindly note that you dont need to register your MobJab account again. Only Jabber-XMPP-Gtalk External IM has to be registered again.

Update on Mobjab.Biz IMPS Gateway

We would be making changes to Mobjab.Biz IMPS Gateway and hence there would be a downtime of 6-8 hours on Mobjab.Biz IMPS Gateway. We would update when the services are back to normal.

you saw your contacts online also isnt? Then just do the following thing

You would require to change/update your presence to "Available/Online" and then your contacts/buddies will be displayed. For SonyEricsson handsets you need to select "Watching Users" to see your contacts and then add them from there.

Hi,

I have no problems using the client with an MSN connection, but registering my Google Talk ID does nothing. My userid is marlinf, if you're willing to investigate if the external IM is registered on my account.

Also, it would be a lot easier to get support and provide it if you setup a MobJab forum, with separate threads, so we don't have to wade through 13 pages of one thread.

My presence is set to Available but none of my contacts are shown as online -- and I'm not seen online in any other client.
I've emailed my username and a description of my problem to info @ mobjab.com.
