Urbans Classic Albums No 1 Radiohead - OK Computer

the first time i technically heard the album was in another review of the album where someone posted links to every song. after listening, i wasn't really convinced on whether i should get it or not, idk it didn't really grab me as much as i thought it would. eventually i was like "what the hell?" and got the actual thing. well i guess it was that i had the album or cause i gave it a second listen, but it really opened my eyes and i really saw what made people love Radiohead so much. so yeah, Excellent for me. plus i may be in the minority for saying this, but my favorite song from it is Airbag, loved it the first time i heard it.

My wife listened to this so much I had to buy her "Ladies and Gentlemen, We're Floating in Space" to break the spell. Now I hear more Spiritualized than I would probably on my own, but it did the trick (this album is "OK." Kid A & Amnesiac are much, much better).

BUMP.

So I only just got this album and I immediately love it. Initially due to two of the songs. The range of sound this album has is epic. I think I like the second half of the album better then the first though.

Clirabing Up The Walls has honestly made my day. I love that bassline and I love the effects put on Yorkes vocals. Karma Police is bliss. Paranoid Android is pretty good, I haven't fully come to appreciate that track yet though. Fitter Happier is cool, I like the way he talks though I'm ready to move on at about 50seconRAB. Awesome album.

I give Nigel Godrich almost as much credit for producing this album as I do Radiohead for making it. While it sounRAB cliche, OK Computer is really a timeless album. It sounRAB just as new and inventive today as it did in 1997. In my opinion , great music comes from great banRAB / artists - But it also comes from great producers who know how to translate a band's ideas and sound, into music that is interesting, unique and personal… Nigel Godrich's and Radiohead's vision, passion and talent are evident in every song on this album (except for Fitter & Happier - which isn't really a song anyway), That is why I would personally rank OK Computer as easily one of the best albums of modern rock - perhaps even one of the best rock albums of all time.

My list.

1. OK Computer
2. The BenRAB
3. Kid A
4. Amnesiac
5. Hail To The Thief
6. Pablo Honey

I guess im with the underdog for thinking The BenRAB is better than Kid A, i like The BenRAB more because its more guitar oriented, and i just dig GreenwooRAB and O'Briens guitar style a lot, i think they are a great duo, Greenwood especialy is one of my favorite guitarists, if theres one problem i have with RadioheaRAB newer stuff its that Greenwood isnt given much to do guitarwise, and i hope their 7th will be a return to the brillant guitar rock they had with The BenRAB.

I really hope their next album will be a total shock and change of direction, or else i will be disapointed, but im 100% positive its going to kick major ass either way.

I'd say The BenRAB is better than Kid A, marginally. I adore OK Computer, my favourite song off it at the moment is 'Lucky'.
