Alright alright, don't eat me alive. I've searched a ton, and read all the how to's on how to setup gmail on E61's. All my settings are fine. It connects fine and there are no errors or anything like that, but it always just says I don't have any new mail. I know for a fact I have 15 new e-mails or so, it just won't recognize it. I can't figure it out for the life of me.
Here are my settings just so you know I'm not an idiot (or maybe I am, if so, please point it out). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Incoming Mail settings:
User Name: my e-mail address at gmail.com
password: my gmail password
Incoming mail server: pop.googlemail.com (I've also tried pop.gmail.com)
Access Point in Use: Always Ask
Mailbox name: Gmail
Mailbox Type: POP3
Security Ports: SSL/TLS
Port: 995
APOP Secure login: Off
Outgoing Mail settings:
My e-mail address: my e-mail address at gmail.com
user name: my e-mail address at gmail.com
password: my gmail password
outgoing mail server: smtp.googlemail.com (also tried smtp.gmail.com)
Access point in use: Always ask
Security: SSL/TLS
Port: 465
Anyone have any ideas? I'm beginning to think gmail's pop server just isn't worth using. I have my gmail account hooked up to outlook 2002 on my desktop as well, and while I can receive and send messages just fine, when I delete or read an e-mail from outlook, it doesn't do the same on my gmail account when I open it in a browser, which drives me nuts when I need to check my e-mail from a computer other than my desktop (because there's 100 some new e-mails that I've actually already read and deleted on my desktop back home). Even though this isn't a cell phone problem, I thought it was appropriate to throw in here since it has to deal with gmail's pop servers.
Thanks,
Mr. H
