Unpopular Opinions: Not everyone thinks "Citizen Kane" is the best movie ever!

I concur

I only saw the first 20 minutes of A Clockwork Orange, I think something big happened that got me away from watching it, but I definitely need to see it. I was really liking what I had seen.

Even though I haven't seen much of his work. I did see on the TV station "Turner's Classic Movies", Orson's movie "The Stranger" (1946) which I thought was well done.

Plot:

An investigator from the War Crimes Commission travels to Connecticut to find an infamous Nazi.

Starring: Edward G. Robinson

Hocus Pocus is the only role of hers I liked, but she played a ditzy character so it was fun to watch. But I also loved that movie because of Bette Midler! I mean come on, Bette was fantastic in that movie.

Second, the only scene of SJP that I remember from HP was when she's acting stupid and is like "a muck, a muck, a muck"...and her sister elbows her in the gut. It was funny.

I don't see the big deal with Angeline either. Not that she can't act but she's not that special.

I say the same for Julia Roberts. I don't know how she got that Oscar but I felt there were more deserving actresses that year.

I feel that Michelle Williams is very underrated. I know she's an Oscar nominated actress but people seem to know her as Heath's ex and now that he's dead, that keeps coming up all the time. The woman is an accomplished actress on her own and was working long before she met Heath.

I absolutely love Johnny Depp/Tim Burton movies but enough is enough. I wish they wouldn't do it so often.

I liked Moulin Rouge a lot more than Chicago and I felt it deserved the Oscar more than Chicago. Now Chicago seems to get all the credit for breathing life into movie musicals even though Moulin Rouge came before that.

Not gonna lie, but I don't really get the hype over Casablanca. Even as someone who loves romances, black and white movies, and classic movies, it just does nothing for me. Maybe I haven't seen it recently enough, but I really just don't get why everyone goes bananas over it.

Oh, yes, thank you, and sorry for making you repeat what you said :embarrassment: and I agree with you, I don't like his style of directing.

This would probably be an unpopular opinion for my age group. Teenagers. I'm 17.

But I think High School Musical and all actors involved are so overrated. Almost all girls my age think HSM is amazing. It's so cheesy and the acting is horrible, imo.

Same goes for Twilight. I'm sure a lot of people agree, but it's probably an unpopular opinion for my age group.

#1 I don't get the big deal about Cloverfield. I heard alot of people say how good it was and how it was the best movie ever and I had to struggle to not fall asleep and to watch the whole thing. The acting wasn't good, the dialogue was horrible, and the camera work bugged me to no end. It was a big waste of my time.

#2 How in the world did Sideways get nominated for so many awards when it was so horrible? It had a couple of funny parts, but other than that it was just stupid and a waste of time.

#3 I really liked Brandon Routh in Superman Returns and don't get the flack he received for that movie. I also think the script needed some serious improvement before the movie was filmed.

UO #1: Pirates of the Caribbean bored me. I haven't even bothered to watch the other two.
UO #2: I really liked Gone Baby Gone
UO #3: I don't like anything Harrison Ford has done.

And boring...

TDK is not a great movie, and it's worst than BB. the only good written character is Joker. The rest of teh characters are pointless. What a waste of CD's talent.

A movie that makes me cry every time I see it... deserves all my love :P

Oh... and I think Ben Affleck is a fantastic actor.

Hard Candy is amazing... but she was there for like... 5 seconds.

The Dark Knight was so slow and boring.
I liked Aaron's role over Heath's, and never got the big deal about it.

I seriously think this whole movie and a lot of things in it are completely COMPLETELY overrated.

I thought Maggie Gyllenhaal did a much better job on the Rachel role in TDK than Katie Holmes.

I agree that FBDO is overrated.
I love HBC
Center Stage IS SO MUCH BETTER than STLD
DF should have been nominated, I agree.
I saw Mr. Deeds but it was funny, so on the fence with that one.

I agree that SJP isn't a great actress but I absolutely love Sex and the City and one of my favorite films as a kid was Hocus Pocus  So she'll always have a special place in my heart! :)
