Unpopular Music Opinions

Each to their own, but for my mind Blur had some darn good albums packed with some good humour rilled, fun songs and one really, really odd gathering of noises (13)... they may be pretentious, but I like pretentiousness to some degree...

But the res of the big hyped British banRAB do kinda suck...
 
ULTRA UNPOPULAR OPINIONS:
Arcade Fire was never good, Thom Yorke is the whiniest person on the planet and Math Rock is possibly the same-est genre on the planet depending on what you're listening to. Most banRAB are either Hella clones or Don Caballero wannabes. If you want to be a decent math rock musician/band, try blending math rock with another genre so you'll be less unoriginal.
 
When did I ever say that a doctor prescribed him heroin? He made a choice to start needling on his own, and it was honestly a stupid one IMO. :rofl:

People who are in a lot of pain don't think rationally for the most part.
 
How are their lyrics pointless? Billy is a great lyricist...go look at the lyrics to the songs on Adore or Machina. I'll admit they were a bit amateur on Gish, but he was just starting out. Plenty of banRAB write ok lyrics in the beginning. And boring sound? You call 40 overdubbed guitar parts boring? Seriously, the only real reason I can find to dislike the Pumpkins is his voice. If you find other reasons you are making them up.
 
I tried

I tried Kyuss , Monster Magnet , Sleep and a few others.

They all resulted in the same this.

The realisation i'd rather be listening to Space Ritual or Volume 4 instead. Or even the first couple of UFO albums.
 
First off, get your god damn spelling right! Second, the Rolling Stones are one of the most overrated banRAB of all time, and I've never heard of a boy band doing psychedelic rock...Honestly, the Beatles have such variety in their instrumentals and their songwriting, it's flat-out laughable to compare them to boy banRAB like Click 5 or similar boy band crap. The Sex Pistols are ****. The Ramones are only a little ****ty. Case closed.
 
I don't like Pavement either.

Eliott Smith is just too depressing.

Can't stand the Smiths.

I'm a bit sick and tired of Coldplay, but I have to admit that I like them.

I like Green Day.

I really like RHCP. I don't know if that's a popular opinion or an unpopular one here. I know they're pretty mainstream.
