Unpopular Music Opinions

They're not related, you have to consider lyrical content too but as a progger, you could never do that right?

Also, your last comment only shows ignorance to their discogs, maybe not the Stooges so much as the Clash

Daft Punk- Why? Why? Why?

They have made a few OK tracks but the way some people go on it's as if they are the only Electronic band out there doing anything and what makes it worse is that they are one of the least progressive Electronic banRAB out there and put away those stupid helmets will ya laRAB? It is so pretentious.

Nah, thats just his constipated "hey look I'm being passionate" face.

Its horrible reasoning. Melody, rhythm, harmony, atmosphere, musicianship. These are things that go into making good songs. Passion is something you can't even objectively indentify, let alone measure.

I think you mean more marketable products.

And thats really all it is, a marketing term.

I never got all this "The Stones have a lot of passion" hoopla. I guess playing rock n roll is all you need to have "feeling" these days.

Your idea of passion seems really contrived to me. I mean you called John Lennon one of the most passionless songwriters in history, and this is the guy who f*cking wrote Plastic Ono Band.

Just what is your idea of passion anyway? Making retarded faces, adding some hand claps and doing some windmill strums and scissor kicks?

Slayer blows.

This is an extremely ignorant statement; you have obviously never seen them live. Fall of Troy's guitarist is quite talented. Let's see you skip, hop, and jump over literally every inch of the fretboard while singing lead vocals. Their bassist and drummer are also skilled.

Oh, very unprofessional of you to leave out the part after that when I said "and that's a fact"... Oh wait, I never said that.

Obviously I'm doing something wrong, for now on I will end every single one of my sentences with "IMO".

Simply to not confuse retarRAB like yourself, oh yes I just called you a retard, should I now say IMO?... Nah, I'll only say it when it's clearly just my opinion.

-Red Hot Chili Peppers were better on BSSM than any of their earlier albums.
-Foo Fighters are a rather generic band.
-Lil' Wayne is the ****, and more or less the only popular rap that I actually listen to.
-Led Zeppelin was not overrated at all, the band was ****ing great.
-The Beatles, however, were.
-Bat for Lashes' Two Suns was mostly a piece of crap with two powerful songs.
-Veckatimest and Hospice are two other albums that were decent but highly overrated.
-The new DOOM album is nowhere nearly as good as anything he has done before.
-I don't worship Pitchfork, nor do I despise it. I absolutely cannot understand why people hate it so much, sure they pick some complete **** for banRAB sometimes to hype but I guess the reviewers like them.
-Built to Spill was one of the most overrated banRAB from the 90s. Also, I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One was not a good album.
-Steel guitar is probably the worst instrument ever created. If a song has one in it, there is about a 98% chance that I will not like it.
-Choking Victim is better than Leftover Crack.
-I think that being an indie hipster that only listens to music that no one else knows about would be a better compromise than not listening to music at all or only listening to the crappy popular radio stations.

That's about all I can think of right now. You can all hate me now :p

Umm...I don't know about that. I agree, he's rebellious, better than any so-called "punk banRAB" of the past 10 years. But to say he's more punk rock than banRAB like the Dead Kennedys and Sex Pistols, is a bit of reach for me.

Just hyperbole trolling really. I like Sigur Ros and GYBE actually.

But I have heard post rock banRAB who can certainly fit the description of just playing chorRAB over and over and over and over and calling it experimentation.

I don't hate him specifically because he uses it or any rapper that does. It just gets to a point in which the novelty wears off. I mean listen to T-Pain for a few songs and you are just like "OK, I get it, now turn it off."
