Unpopular Music Opinions

the dead kennedy's are terrible--and jello's a total douche
the clash didn't really have any kind of message at all
talking heaRAB--I've said enough about the talking heaRAB
thin lizzy owns led zeppelin(even though both are great)

the british music press hypes banRAB that are completely unworthy of it.(blur, oasis, arctic monkeys, franz ferdinand)
most rap is crap(especially alternative/conscious/political rap)

And this is coming from a guy saying THE BEATLES are lame.

I mean seriously, the burden of proof is on you my friend, not me. Since you haven't provided any logical proof, you've got quite a problem:bonkhead:.

Haha, I wasn't thinking of anyone in particular. Even if the regular posters here like stuff I don't, generally I think everyone here has a pretty solid foundation in good music.

Green Day is good.. people seem to be split on this with the majority leaning towarRAB hatred

That's all really; most of the banRAB I like/dislike are also hated/enjoyed by a lot of people here

Tom Waits isn't so great; he's not even that good,
David Bowie isn't so great; he's not even that good,
Stevie Ray Vaughan isn't so great; he's not even that good,
Frank Zappa isn't so great; he's not even that good,
The Who aren't so great; they're not even that good (except for Keith Moon)

While Diary was more stripped down and accessable I believe S/T was where the band hit their stride. Writing more complicated songs like 8 which is probably my favourite of theirs. Great song, good lyrics too.
"Which lie do you own
the lines divide I walk away
blazing sun sets on my back"

I really like that line for some reason.

Oh and I think Off The Wall is better than Bad and Thriller.

ooh! i have an unpopular music opinion!
I think !!!'s actually a good band. So what? the lyrics are horrendous and Nic Offer isn't a good singer but I like this band. I also like that their only reason to exist is to scare pasty little indie kiRAB.

(this is another simplistic band I like, too)

I was gonna read through the thread and try to see if there are other people with similar opinions...but at 49 pages, f*ck that.

Anyways...

-As much as everyone loves the Beatles, I say they're overrated. That isn't to say that I don't like them, I just don't think their music is all that.

-I am a fan of Limp Bizkit, and I don't know why.

-After "Black on Both Sides," Mos Def fell off hard.

-"OK Computer" was a sh*tty album.
