Unpopular Music Opinions

hm, true. since dubstep is another relatively new genre in the infinite sea of electronic genres (WTF is up with casio-core, anyways?) maybe it really hasn't defined itself yet. i'll come back to dubstep in about a few years or so. it's like a genre under construction. rock from the fifties doesn't sound like rock today, because the genre built up over the years. maybe dubstep will be truly great when i come back.

and yes, now that I looked through my Amon Tobin CRAB and compared it to "Music Has The Right To Children" and held them up into the light next to my copy of Drukqs, i'm starting to think of IDM as a dumping ground for banRAB that don't quite belong in techno, are too hard and abrasive to be arabient, and isn't hard enough to be any of those industrial styles. And is it just me or does "intelligent Dance" sound a little y'know, pretentious? But I must admit, IDM sure is fun to listen to.

TL;DR version:
Dubstep isn't quite developed yet, and IDM is way too broad of a genre.
oh, and Casio-Core makes no sense.

^ I'm curious as to what Nu-Metal is good. ( Not saying you're wrong)

Also I have to agree with you that some Pop-Punk is a guilty pleasure of mine, such as Blink 182's dude ranch and Chessire Cat.

But I'm going to have to disagree with Foo Fightersbeing better than Nirvana, I think the Foo Fighters are pretty generic. Also I'm a big Soundgarden fan, talent wise I think they are better than Nirvana but I don't connect with them like I do Nirvana. Also, Soundgardens drummer is really underrated.

The best way to wind up anyone on a music forum is to take a pop at NMH.
But seriously though, what riRAB? Also I know NMH are somewhat of a cult band but is that enough to say they're popular? Ask most people you know and they wouldn't have a clue who they are.

I don't know anyone who claims everything they did came from their own heaRAB but its how they did that makes them the most important band ever and if you deny that then you're the one in denial not everyone else.

I am probably biased, but I actually love all of their stuff... I recognize that they have some albums that are stronger than others, but overall, i think they have a pretty darn good output... looking forward to collecting more of the new stuff they are currently producing and releasing in small quantities...

Overall, as far as official full release, non B -side or box set SP albums go, my preferences are...

1. Mellon Collie
2. Siamese Dream
3. Adore
4. Machina
5. Gish
6. Zeitgiest
7. Machina II

And the difference in terms of my own preferences between those is really all that huge...
