Unpopular Music Opinions

In essence you're proving my point, just because you live here doesn't mean you have to eat hot pots.

Pizza, Burger, Spag Bol and chips = my diet and I'm a Brit.

I've come to the conclusion that people force themselves to like She & Him just because Zooey is part of it. I mean, she's absolutely adorable but her songwriting makes me cringe on the inside.

Just like people giving noRAB to Scarlett Johansson after she butchered a handful of Tom Waits. Congrats on the resume booster, you still suck at acting.

Well let's not get too outta' hand here. Putting one song up against a genre is just retarded.

And lol at my quote before your edit.

I feel bad for the Gary Yudman (the MC who talks at the beginning of Is There Anybody Out There, The Wall Live 1980-81). I mean, he's trying to point out one more thing - and the band doesn't even let him finish before they start In The Flesh? ! Then, they add insult to injury and they mock him during the other In The Flesh! Poor guy, just trying to do his job.

The reason that's unpopular is because most people laugh at him.

Thats a fair point i suppose, but you know what i meant, i wasnt slagging all metal or whats considered metal going way back to the late 60s, i was just making a point about newer stuff and Dream Theater have that horrible produced sound that seems to be popular right now that why i used them as an example.

Another post in the right place!

I'm not trying to start you, I'm just saying that, right or wrong, (and I really don't care enough to have an opinion on this) that's an unpopular music opinion. That's what this thread is about after all and yet there seems to be some rather popular opinions over the past pages, so, good work!

That Scarlett Johansson mess is what made me avoid the She & Him project altogether. I strongly doubt she'd (and I suppose they) bring anything incredibly original to the field. I might stream a few songs to see, but still, I really think like I'm saving myself time this way.

I used to agree about the Stones being bland. I still think they have a lot more filler than maybe they're reputed to have, but they do get some amazing moments in there. "Gimme Shelter," for example.

Also, on the topic of the thread, I'm kind of excited to hear Patrick Stump's upcoming solo album. :shycouch:
