Unpopular Music Opinions

about time Wyndorf and the boys get a little more love on this site.

things got a little shaky a few years ago but i'm looking forward to the followup to 4-Way Diablo later this summer. apparently going to be called 'Mastermind'.

the first 3 MM albums are ace and must listens for any fan of fuzzed out psychedelic stoner rock. these guys deserve as much if not more attention than Kyuss in terms of establishing that style in the 90s.

Yes, but just because now isn't the pinnacle, and they 'experimented' per se in the seventies, why would that make it the pinnacle? It's a good argument as to why now isn't the pinnacle, but I don't think it justifies the 70s being it, considering how long music has been 'evolving'. Just trying to wrap my head around that.

that queen is actually a pretty good band
i know that that's a fairly popular opinion, but most people i meet over the internet or in real life, don't really appreciate them or just plain think they're ****

screamo/metal of any kind is hardly interesting to listen to

There's a few. It's a mess, a glorious mess. I don't get people who have their favourite Beatles album as The White album. Each to their own and what not. The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill and Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da *cringe*

So you're affectivvely saying computers are harder to play well, than instruments?
If so, no, and I ask you to actually try to learn one before making ridiculous statements.

Eh I'll probably refrain from that statement because I haven't yet heard The Resistance.

A 13 minute prog epic? That's obviously the kind of direction I was hoping for.

You also didn't answer my question. If Dream Theater is the only progressive metal band you've heard then it's pretty hard to have an opinion on an entire genre of music. That would be like if I got robbed by a black person and immediately decided to hate all black people. I won't defend Dream Theater at all, they are a shit band and I hate the fact that they are the entry level band for most kiRAB after they grow bored of Metallica, but progressive metal as a whole has some incredibly talented musicians and band who do the progressive rock of the '70's proper justice. Know what you hate before you publicly declare your disdain for it, because people who actually know what they are talking about can see through your comments.
