Unpopular Music Opinions

^mhmm, i really enjoy it for how fresh it just sounRAB. i mean, Vs. is a REALLY close 2nd for me, but Yield just has such a vibrant feel with the guitars and Eddie's vocals on songs like MFC, Given to Fly, etc.

good to see you're still the king of putting up straw men to knock down (i also get a kick of how you use a lot of my normal lines about pedals and synths as arguments against me...)

a low end harmoizer runs about $500 (high end is around $4000-$5000). how many teenagers are going to spend as much money on a single pedal as they likely did for their guitar AND amp (or their first car).

Morello has said so himself that he really should have been playing a synth but it didn't look as cool. image over substance.

I have to admit that Experimental Jet Set is my least favourite of their albums, with the exception of Rather Ripped. It does have a decent nuraber of good songs, but I still much prefer most of their other work.

I dunno about calling any of those banRAB technical metal. Metal surely isn't my strong point but when I hear tech metal I think of psyopus or Ephel Duath or something...you know...technical?

Minutes to Midnight is the only album of theirs i ever bother to buy.... and listen to from start to finish... I actually really enjoy it quite alot.

I'm all for grooves but every nu metal song I've heard either doesn't have any real groove or a terrible one. And then they have all that heavy bullshi‎t going on in the background and it just doesn't work at all.

Yeah, but 95% of talentless musicians make terrible music with the other 5% maybe doing something interesting.

Def. I rarely try to sway one's musical tastes covering entire genres.

Cause originality = awesome, right? So, like, Merzbow is the greatest isn't he?
