If you can't find out the code a trick that worked on old car stereos is remove the stereo from the car and seal it in a sealable freezer bag. Stick it in the freezer for a couple of hours. The low temperature wipes the memory setting and resets the code back to the manufacturer setting which might be easier to find out - maybe 1234, 0000, 1111 and so on. Failing everything else it might be worth a try. Don't know if it would work on new stereos.
