Z105 Phone Freeze Remove... by sKaZi
as so other locks
There's in many forums the right solution to resolve the problem,so i want to congratulate all
the ppl that were involved on this.. since the cable pinout to the software procedure, because it
wasn't me that discovered the unlocking procedure. But, even that the information contained in
forum is right, it misses some important steps (important to those, like me, don't understant a
lot of phones unlocking). So, i'll try to demonstrate step by step the way i used to remove
the phone freeze lock... Z105 is a phone to good to don't be used.
So, what do have to get..
- PCB157ULE USB Data Cable (the one that normally comes within the phone box)
- If you don't have the cable, make it (http://webuser0.s23.deinprovider.de...e/z105cable.zip) thks Angelo
- An DB9 female connector (the on that connects to COM ports. you can bought it in any computer store)
- Qualcomm IMEi Write System for Z105 v 1.16 (http://webuser0.s23.deinprovider.de/Software/z105.rar) thks Angelo
- Z105 CDMA Modem USB Driver (Normally comes within the CD,or is in the z105.rar file too)
- Patience
The procedure is:
- Cut the PCB157ULE cable on half
- Inside you see 4 wires, Black, Red, Green and White
- Unite again the Black, Red and White wires... and put some glue tape on them
- Unite the green wires but leave it like that, whitout cover them
- Pick up the DB9 female connector and destroy the protection to reach the wires inside
- If you pick the front layer of the connector you'll see something like these
* *
5 4 3 2 1
-------------
\ * * * * * /
\ * * * * /
---------
9 8 7 6
- Pick up the wires of the 2nd and 3rd pine and unite them, making one wire..
- This wire i'll connect to the green wire of the USB Cable, but not yet..
- Install the drivers..
- Plug the USB female to the PC, the DB9 female to a COM port and the S100 conector to the phone
- (It should show an icon on the Inside Screen of the Z105 indicating that the modem is on, but
don't worry if it disapear.. If you don't see the icon or don't ear a sound from the phone, check the cable's
wires conections)
- Run the Qualcomm Software
- In the setup window, press ok
- In the main program do this (it worked for me, but you gotta be fast)
- Click Unlock and then put the wire that cames from the DB9 in contact with the green wire of the USB Cable, without unlinking the green wire
- When the program says "Serial COM OK" (or something like that), remove the wire from contact whit the USB Cable
- The program should pass to the USB ports verification and run sucessfully until unlock the phone.
The explanation for this is that, When the wire that cames from DB9 is in touch whit the USB green cable, the usb conection goes down,
so, it should be in contact with the green wire just when the software check the COM conection.. and that it's.
I saw some ppl with USB Ports Open Errors in the forums.. i think is caused by that...
This procedure is simple... you just have to do it right
If you have any doubt contact me, may be i can help you
hope i did no mistake posting some links but i think the solution is what rules isn
