Ok so I've had this for probably a year, maybe longer. First started because I had some plaque like stuff on the back of my tongue, I asked the doctor what to do about it, he said it was thrush, and I needed fungal medication. So I applied daktarin (miconazole) oral gel to my tongue, which made the condition about 20-30 times worse...literally. It was only after this that I started getting ulcers on the tongue.
The doc persisted in saying it was a fungal infection. So I tried Nizoral (ketoconazole 200mg) tablets. Which were apparently very strong anti-fungals. This did not improve the condition at all.
Also tried other anti-fungals but no improvement, not even a little. All the anti-fungals have done have made it a heck of a lot worse.
The same doc still persists in saying that the problem is a fungal infection, but I really don't think so as no anti-fungal medication has improved the condition at all.
Another doc said that it could be related to having a bad diet, which I did have. So I've improved my diet, for the past 6 months I've had veggies (maybe 3 cups a day) wheat grass/barely grass shots 2-3 times a day. Fruit every day. Plus approx 200 grams protein a day, and about 3500 - 4500 calories every day of food, lots of carbs, etc... So there are no nutirents I'm lacking. I take supplements like creatine, glutamine, and protein powder including many amino acids etc...
I do body building so I exercise with weights 2.5 hrs a week, 2.5hrs cardio a week too.
I'm not sure if this is related to my problem or not, but I've been getting increasingly bad upset stomaches early in the day. Some days I am incredibly close to throwing up. (I don't drink alcohol). It's worse on an empty stomach as soon as I wake in the morning.
--------------------
Summary
--------------------
anti fungals don't work
my diet and exercise is very good
I don't get colds or anything like that since improving my diet, so I'm guessing my immune system is really good now. So I really should have good health, but instead I still have these ulcers covering my tongue. They get really bad, cover the whole tongue, and then they all go away, but then one or two days later they start to come back again (takes a week or two to progressively cover tongue again). This cycle repeats endlessly (for over a year now).
Please help.
Thanks
