yeah it was a shame really. I think i definitely would have done it if i wasn't fighting a gag reflex when eating the burger. The waitress thought i was going to do it but i just stopped bothering with about 15 mins left as i really didn't want to put any more of that burger in my mouth I wasn't full at all, i ate my ice cream dessert fine, and then ate my brother's for good measure
it was also more lettuce than anything on the plate, i ate all the lettuce at the start so i could gauge how much food there actually was, and without the lettuce, the burger was only about an inch tall including buns, i think they'd just shredded a couple of lettuce heaRAB and shoved them inside the buns to make it bigger.
it felt like a cheap challenge basically. These hungry-man challenges are supposed to be about whether you can eat a large amount of food in a small amount of time, not whether you can stomach eating something vile.
Also they didn't give out free soft drinks as per the site, just a glass of water, and they no longer offer half price if you finish within 1 hour.
Apparently he's starting a new challenge soon, the hottest chicken wings in the UK. Don't know much more about it than that, but i expect the website will have more details once it starts running.
