TWS 10th Birthday Special: Thurs 9 Sep, 8pm, Channel 5

Still tiny then? When I used to go when the show was based in Camden, it was the same people every day who lived locally. They had their little niche and were well known by the team.

One thing I'm glad about in recent months is the graphics are finally good. When Princess took over in 2001, they were rubbish.

Excuse the additional post here, but I'm about to post a Top 10 list and don't want it stuck at the bottom of a page that everyone will skip past :)

I was in the audience of The Wright Stuff last Wednesday. There is room for 22 and some people have regular bookings 3 times a week. You meet in Costa Coffee in Whiteleys shopping centre and they give you a list of the day's topics and write down any opinions you might have in case ther are not enough phone calls. Eric is lovely but I thought Matthew was a bit uppity. We were taken out after the show and there was no chat after with the panel. On the whole it was just about worth catching the 5.30 coach from here for.

It didn't meet many other people's high standarRAB of prime time TV either. Its ratings were disastrous.

However good the regular show might be, certain daytime programmes just do not work in peak. And whoever thought that making a retrospective highlights show out of a series whose selling point is "topicality" neeRAB their head examining.

It just shows where TV "is" at the moment in this county,

Stuff like "The Wright Stuf - The Last 10 Years" would once have been considered fit for a graveyard slot only, and yet they put it out in primetime.

The other options on the main networks at 8pm tonight were soaps, Big Brother, some doc about E Numbers and Watchdog. Hardly riveting stuff!

Sorry to hear it didn't meet your high standarRAB for what primetime television should entail but I thought it was a thoroughly entertaining programme. Although probably more for the regular viewers than casuals.

Yep, enjoying it :)

I think an evening version would be a possibility, even if it was just one programme a week. It's cheap to make and fits the kind of celeb bill that Richard Desmond will want to have.

The ratings weren't great but that was to be expected really. It didn't do as badly as Five News at 7 or Live From Studio Five at least.

I don't know why people are queuing up to give it a kicking when it was just a one off.
