my version is the Cookie KP570, sold in Brazil and Latin America. The current version of firmware is "KP570qAT_V10a". It is locked by the operator Claro (www.claro.com.br).

QUESTIONS:

1) If I upgrade to the firmware "KP500_10N_Firmware" run the risk of losing my phone?

2) This firmware is only for the KP500 or work in KP570?

3) There is a way to recover?

4) How can I make a backup of my current firmware?

i have download the file "KP500​_10N​_Firmware" i uncompress and see 2 files "cue" and "bin", i use "demmon tools" "poewr iso" even change de format to iso but can

i used kg800 usb cable
mine had enter security code at start up,with or without sim,,,could only enter 4 digits,,,,after flash finish,,,,
no security code

if u have never done the procedure on that particular computer, i recommend u try on a diferent, xp based, computer... im saying this because i had a very similar problem and that turned out to be the solution. The computer that failed to connect had windows vista os (also windows 7 beta)... i just tried everything on my neighboors computer and it worked!!
