Sooo, I lost my job after 4 1/2 years of service and a few months later got a decently paying job which I then lost a few months later. The first job I lost due to the economy and the changes my company was making to cope with it and the second was a mixture of lack of previous experience, no training and their lack of organization (a little bit me and a little bit of them on that one).
Anyway I realized that if I was going to be a more appealing job candidate I needed to finish the bachelor's degree I started so very long ago. I have my AA and really only need a little over 30 credits to finish. Previous to my unemployed state I made too much money to qualify for financial aid and worked too much to have time for school. But now I am unemployed, my lease on my house was over, I thought, perfect opportunity, I will qualify for loans and aid and can live on that and unemployment and stay with a friend for a few months. Everyone said there is so much money for school and that was a great idea. HA!!
I can get absolutely no money for school, no pell, no loans so now I am back to square one. I went to the FAFSA website, did everything right they said I make too much money for pell but qualify for Stafford loans and shit. They disqualified me on the pell due to the last year's income which is non existent, pain in the ass but there is a form to fill out and paperwork to turn in to overcome that. So it should be fine, right? HA!!
Even though I got back into UCF my last semester I had shitty grades and it turns out they can put all my financial aid on hold. I have filled out an appeal but after talking to financial aid things look grim and school starts on Monday. From talking to fin. aid and a bunch of people it seems like I will have to cough up several hundred dollars of my own to take a class at the community college, get an A and they reapply for Financial Aid at UCF. I don't have several hundred dollars.
WTF do I do??
