Truly Awful Performances By A Lead Actor

Exactly - Man on the Moon was a FANTASTIC film!
He wasn't so good in 23 though. I'd like to see him in more serious films, but maybe not horror type ones.

That's the one. Ghost Rider. Cheers. :o

Jingle All The Way. You're right. Shite. But Jake Lloyd was in that one too, the little bass tud!

Might be worth another look. As far as Bruckheimer and Michael Bay go, this is a decent film. Sean Connery is great, even if you don't like Nicholas Cage. :)

We so nearly went to see that, but I persuaded the OH not to as the original scares and creeps me out so much - seems like I didn't have too much to worry about :D

I'll add City of Angels to the list - he sleep walks through the film, Meg Ryan is beyond annoying - but it does have the funniest death scene ever in a movie, I had to remove myself from the screening as I was laughing so much :o

I completely agree with Christian Bale.

I think Keira Knightley is good in The Duchess, but little else.

And I'm not a Jolie fan, but I think her performance in Changeling is exceptional.

I quite like Nicholas Cage, Wild At Heart and Honeymoon In Vegas are 2 of my favorite films, I do have to admit though I've not seen any of his recent films.

I never cared much for Michael Caine, personally.

Keaunu Reeves in Point Break. His delivery of his lines..ouch!

Tom Hanks in The Da Vinci Code , totaly dreadful.

Leonardo Di Crapio - Titanic , makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Nicholas Cage - How has he not been rumbled yet?. He looks & sounRAB the same in every film.

Ben Stiller / Adam Sandler , are these two gonks related either way they are about as funny as woodworm in a beggars crutch.

Anthony Hopkins in Silence of The Lambs , total drivel about as scary as night in watching Monsters Inc. Brian Cox in Manhunter , now thats what you call sinister.

Beyonce Knowles in Dreamgirls, out of her depth is an understatemnt

Will Smith in I Robot , what should have been a good film reduced to a pile of tat by inflicting him. His 'Yo im the black dude' routine he does in every film wears very thin

Star Wars 1-3 with George Lucas's piss poor direction & wooden dialogue. Ewan Mcgregor looked lost with it all. Hayden Chritainsen never stood a chance.

Val Kilmer - The Saint , the master of disguise , good god, still looked like a fat , washed out goon in every scene.

Tom Cruise - Another who looks & sounRAB the same in every film. The mind boggles

:)

I don't know why on earth I'm watching Alone In the Dark now on ITV4 but it features a truly crap performance by Christian Slater.

And needless to say Tara Reid is as useless a leading lady as I've ever seen. I mean, who is this woman? Who told her she could act?

I really don't think Hayden Christensen is bad in The Star Wars movies ... I think that Anakin Skywalker is a complex, moody, wooden character and he played him quite well.

While i'm sure that my opinion will be unpopular - I don't wanna argue about it as me is tired :)

I wouldn't say that's always the case (although it generally is), I thought Haley Joel Osment was very good in AI although he's a rare exception.

However I have to agree Jake Lloyd is definitely the worst I've ever seen. I'll never forget the hammy acting in The Phantom Menace:

"I get to fly with you in your starship?"

Utter crap! How on earth did he get cast?

I completely agree. I think his best performance was in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, where he proved that he could do 'subtle' and do it well. It's a shame that he continually wastes his potential in daft comedies.
